This is the Neo-Swedish engineers' fault, okay
Allenby rocked back and forth on her heels, frowning at the Great Wall for a couple of reasons. One, apparently the Daligig or whoever had yanked out a big chunk of the Great Wall (or one of them, given how many Earths there were) and slapped it into the City like a cheap bookcase. She wasn't big on cultural heritage preservation, but sheesh.
The second reason was that she was thinking. Next to her feet was a bag of toys: jacks, a gymnast's ribbon, a kite, spinning tops, and a few superballs. Believe or not, she was going to use these to develop a new specialty technique--just as soon as she figured out where to begin.
"Man, Nobel Gundam... I knew I shoulda asked Chibodee and George what they did to figure out theirs." She winced when she caught herself talking to her Gundam yet again, and she wasn't even in the Hangar this time... oh well. Allenby picked up the ribbon and began running, executing a technique she already knew well from piloting.
[ooc: So anyone in the Water Cooler post who wanted to do sparring/training stuff, this would be a good place to do it! :3 Or anyone else who'd like to pop in, of course.]

He was already scrolling through his playlists, looking for something that was durable enough to take a few hits.

"ECHO ECHO!" exclaimed the small alien. "I. Think. This. Should. Do. For. A. Start." he proclaimed in his odd synthesized voice as his form flashed into three. And then six. And then twelve.
"Twelve. Opponents. Should. Do. I. Also. Can. Cause. Sonic. Attacks. Try. To. Hit. The. Targets."
And with that, Echo Echo spread out in different directions. It was like shooting ducks that actually shot back.

"Twelve, huh? I better be on my toes!" But there was no lack of confidence in her voice, even though she knew that the sonic attacks would probably be difficult to dodge.
She hurled green at the Echo Echoes, trying to will the green ball of light to rebound onto the next target--it was a very erratic first attempt.

"Son. Ic. Attack!" Opening their mouths, a shockwave of sound blasted out at Allenby at a fairly low power, enough to disorient and sting.

And it looked like they were getting ready for an attack of their own. Allenby jumped straight up into the air, dodging the impact of the sonic waves. It sure sounded like it wouldn't be fun to get hit by--okay, time for another try while she was up here. It left her more vulnerable, but she wasn't always going to be attacking from a secure spot.
She threw out a ball of energy again, just as powerful but far less accurate this time. "Hya!"

'Course, that was something to worry about later it seemed. These guys were tricky little devils! "Whoops!" she yelped as the three intercepting Echo Echoes rose to meet her, just as she was coming down. She lashed out with her fists instinctively. She needed time to replenish enough energy to try her proto-technique a third time.

And just after thinking that, Allenby grinned. This kid was good. "I'm just--getting--started!" she yelled as she slammed her arms up, breaking the first one's grip before twisting in midair. She tried to drive herself towards the ground hard--a full-body landing that would probably hurt, but the guys on her legs would be hit just as hard as she was.

She leaped forward to meet their attack, fists moving in a blur.

With a grin, they adjusted their approach, leaping from high.

Instead, she made another attempt with the energy attack. There was enough now. Allenby concentrated as hard as she could on sending the green ball of light rocketing from one of the little guys to the next.

"Nice one!"

She started to rush over and then slowed, smiling sheepishly as he sat up. She went down on one knee to look him over. "Thanks--you all right? I don't wanna dent you up too much."
no subject
"Want to try again with a different opponent?"
no subject
She straightened back up. "If you got another one in you, sure! I gotta admit, all those different forms of yours seem pretty cool."

Scratching his head with one hand, he wondered, "Is it broken? Stupid thing..."
