"From this hour I ordain myself loos’d of limits and imaginary lines" (Part 1 - Briefing)

A large group of crew members was gathered. In fact, given the mission briefing provided, it was curious that there'd be such a large number for a diplomatic mission.

Planet Designation: Galilee
Status: Terrestrial, H-class.
Non-sentient life: Extensive flora and fauna.
Semi-Sentient Life: Yes.
Sentient Life: Homo Sapiens. [Various translations of "human" appear here so everyone understands it]
Water: 69.5% of the planet's surface.
Climate: Earth-like [Click here for cultural equivalents for non-Earth cultures.]
Landscape: Varied.
Air: Normoxic concentration. Slightly elevated levels of carbon dioxide.
Air Pressure: 101.3 kPa (kilopascals) = 14.7 psi (pounds per square inch)
Sky: Blue. Often overcast.
Sun: A class G2V, yellow star.
Warnings: Wildlife and plant-life can be hazardous. Humans can be hazardous. A human cultural and legal database is available. [click here]
Mission: Successfully negotiate with the Galileeans in exchange for their advanced medical technology.

It was very little to work with, so the crew gathered there possibly had a lot of questions.

He tried to suppress another smile; Ildraniath sounded suspiciously like a famous mon-keigh president from 20th century Earth.

"Isn't that always the case, though? Sometimes I wonder if basic information about our missions is made of weapons-grade plutonium."

"Perhaps our 'allies' are hoping we'll kill off their enemies and ourselves," Ildraniath replied dryly.

Effective, if that was what they planned. Ildraniath had to give them credit for that.

"Always the optimist."

He frowned a little. "But I guess we'll just have to be sure we survive, then, won't we? "

"...Anyway, when this is all over, would you like to stop by the Inn again sometime? We can have tea, and I can continue to ask you nosy questions about the Eldar."

For sure.

"Always. I wouldn't want to give them the pleasure..."

She paused and glanced at him curiously.

"Of course. Although I cannot guarantee that I'll be able or willing to answer all of them."

Zouichi laughed, just a little. "That's fine. It's the company that matters, anyway."
