Getting out of the 'house'. [Open]

Now that the crisis concerning the clock and the children were over, she couldn't be more thankful. The gurgling roar that filled her mind had died down to a more manageable but similarly annoying simmer that continued to give her plenty of reason to be eternally displeased. Still, if she planned to be anything more than a lethargic shut-in, it would require her to brave the 'babbleroar'.

Mulling over her choices for some time, she eventually decided on Hydroponics and made her way there. With the minimal amount of time she'd actually spent on Earth after joining with the Superhomeys, most of her encounters with the natural world were only conjured up from the depths of her memories.

She began walking through the wide expanse of shrubs, trees and other vegetation, intent on both relaxing and rebuilding her mental imaging of how forests and jungles were actually supposed to appear.

"SILENCE!" Azula's voice pierced the peace of the area as she screeched out at what she thought was another mocking voice. She brought both fists down onto the ground hard and indeed fire burst from them in twin pillars of blazing orange setting light to the grass.

As it twisted and died smoke rose and the girls eyes remained tightly shut as she tried in desperation to smother the voices by focusing on the choking black air instead.

Azula was breathing heavy trying to focus now, there was someone here. Someone who was real...or at least looked real, speaking in her head like Stacy did.

Biting her lower lip she struggled with trembling hands and did her best to control the spreading flames before they reached the more valuable plants. Some grass was one thing, but the rest of these plants had significance, importance. Purpose.

"Speak normally." She spat as she forced the words out trying not to scream again, "I can't abide people speaking in my head without permission!"

Oh how she longed for the seemingly long gone days of her commanding respect and fear from total strangers. It had such a comfort that she missed. Still she wouldn't get anywhere complaining and she'd just caught something curious about this conversation. As she finished snuffing out the last of the flames she answered back still using her voice, "What do you mean you have no choice?"

That left a few vital options really, her lips and mouth were obviously there, but the vague way she answered the question probably meant she didn't just lay it out on the table for everyone.

After a moment Azula spoke again, "I would appreciate it if you didn't mention my little...episode to anyone. I am struggling enough as it is to rebuild my life from nothing."

Azula was starting to catch on to the peculiar way this girl "spoke" and realized that the mental slip would be what she had most to worry about.

"What did you say your name was?"

"How...charming." She responded when what she meant was "vulgar"

"I suppose I can see how fitting it is though."

"Very well." She would have to decide if she preferred just to call this one Mind or something more. She had tensed up again at the word "lobotomy" and looked as if she had tasted something unpleasant but she did her best to move on.

"So other then speaking and seeing without...what's necessary, what do your powers allow you to do?" Might as well try to learn something about this creepy person before she sent her on her way.

"Unfortunately some of us have never met a psychic so we're unaware of just what those "basic" things would be." Azula "Are they really so prevalent in your own world that you don't feel so different?" Mindfuck was essentially hitting the nail on the head about Azula's curiosity though.

"Why wouldn't you? Even onboard a flying madhouse like this someone with an ability like yours can't be that common."

At least not that she'd seen since she devoted herself to studying the crew.

"It was unpleasant?" Azula folded her arms, "Were they simply unpleasant or did it have to do with your powers? Given the nature of them I imagine meeting someone else like you would be...different."

Pure speculation on Azula's part, but she felt like everything she learned was of potential use to her.

She was actually.

"And does this power only work on humans?" Because if she could link with the Ohm...

"How unfortunate." Azula dismissed. "That would have made things significantly easier when we face our true enemies."

As fascinating as the subject was though Azula was beginning to get the creeping sensation up her spine. How powerful was this woman? What could she see in Azula's own mind? Would she even feel the woman starting to creep in and read her mind? And just how much could she read? If she could dig deep enough...well it's not as though Azula was ashamed of the things she did, but she liked to keep things under wraps.
