Bus Woes
Kaya had, upon beig able to live in the W.I.T.C.H. bus for the time being, happily cooked meals for the inhabitants where she could, pleased that she could finally do her part. Today, when she woke up, she hadn't seen Matt. Thinking he might be out for a Council related activity, Kaya had let this pass, exercising in Will's classroom, training her body, and then popping over to visit Billy. When she came back, she got the feeling that Matt was still gone, and she started to worry, just a little bit. She asked around for him, but no one, not even those on Council, had seen him that day. Still, she was willing to ignore this, wait because it wasn't possible. How could it be? He was a Concil member, he was the W.I.T.C.H. bus person, it wouldn't make sense.
But she knew it was true. Felt it as surely as if she'd been told, and she couldn; bear to be around anyone, bemoaning his loss. After all, these were feelings only she knew right now, that loss of something she'd had after she had weathered so many changes. She had not thought it possible to be this cruel, after all of that.
And so she wandered to the baths, stripping down and sinking into the baths. It was perfect: she coudl cry all she liked adstay underwater so no one was the wiser.

It ached already, knowing that, in time, Matt was going to be another memory she had that she remembered fondly, and not someone that would be able to hold her in his arms again. Just the thought of someone like him being in the pods, not here was enough to feel like a weight on her heart.

Maybe a little harsh sounding, perhaps, but Lash meant well.

She managed a grin. "Anyway, I'm surprised to see you here. Weren't you not used to so much water?"

She grinned "I always loved beaches, actually. It's pretty fun to surf."

At the scenario, she nodded. "Why not? Beaches are fun!"

"So wait, if you can surf on ice, how strong are your feet? Do they still have nerves on them? Or are they immune to cold temperatures?" Sorry repodded boyfriends, it was question and answers time. If anything, maybe it was providing a good distraction.
no subject
That was a good question. "Oh my feet are pretty strong and have nerves and all, but you also have to understand: I'm still working with my element, so its not really likely that I'm going to be feeling it as much anyway When you're one with your element, you're less likely to be harmed by things like that. It's like you create a kind of barrier that way."

She stretched her arms and yawned.
"Oh! So it's a bit like creating your own power buffer so that you aren't affected by it. I did that with Black Bombs at at home so they wouldn't hard our own units. That's a pretty effective strategy!" Lash what were you even talking about at this point, sorry Kaya, she just went on with war jargon, you'd have to forgive her.
no subject
"Something like that, yes," Kaya said. "In a way, its like magic: you're already one with your element, so long as you remember that, you can work WITH it rather than against it, as most people do with nature."
Black bombs? Kaya looked confused.

She was going to talk some more, but Kaya's surprised face made her stop..
"Uh did that sound too complicated?" She had a feeling she might have gone overboard with the explanation. After all, not everyone was as bright as her.

Now she was suddenly interested.

She nodded. "War is still your life then, considering."
no subject
"Wait so you can use water to sneak around?" That was a strange concept. "Can you also like, use steam to scald the enemy?"
no subject
She took a breath. "But its still pretty scary stuff to think about. I don't intentionally want to hurt people with bending. It's...really not what its meant for."

"Just about anything one can do with water, I can do. I can even use the water in living things, though I can control the water in people when the moon is full. The moon is sort of where we draw our power."
no subject
"You can control the water inside people? The human body is made up of fifty to eighty percent of that stuff! That's...really cool. But I guess without a moon around here, you can't do it?"

Ugh, she just didn't know already. The idea of her supplying reason to kill was bothersome enough!
