Making sure they know the difference between her and I
Kaya's visit to the bazaar, along with the credits in hand, had put her in the redecorating mood. Everyone was still starting to get used to the difference between her and when she had Katara's memories: she figured it was time to show how alike they weren't. A few days ago, she had promised to start redecorating the room she shared with Alex, and this was the perfect opportunity.
She started by purchasing goza mats, getting some sliding doors (which were a lot heavier then they looked, thank goodness for Chase's training), and very pretty fish tapestry. Once those were collected, she smiled to herself and started to look for things she could get for Alex, specifically, this black light he spoke about.
She had also picked up a few outfits and some foodstuffs for the Outsiders and Matt, smiling to herself. This way her money would be used up soon, but at least she was starting to show some of her individuality. For the moment, she was sitting at a cafe, sipping a refreshing alien drink, goggles atop her head.

Ryuunosuke coughed as he heard her say that. Damn, why had he let that slip? "D-Did I say tono? Sorry, I meant Takeru. I don't know why I said tono. Takeru and I know how to fight."
no subject
She gave him a knowing look. "I don't know if I believe in slips, Ryuunosuke. Why DID you call him that?"
no subject
Ryuunosuke flinched. Crap... Crap crap crap... Why couldn't she have believed it was a mere slip of the tongue?
He looked at his drink and started to speak quietly after making sure that the guy with no skin wasn't around, "It's because he is my friend and my tono - my lord."
no subject
She was a little surprised at the flinch though. Was this a secret that he didn't want many people to know about?
"Your lord?" Kaya said, thinking a moment. She had read up on this, when people had told her that her world resembled Japan or China from Earth, but she wanted to be sure. "Like, a Feudal lord?"

He still remembered every battle, especially the one where he fought against Takeru, as well as... He kept his head down slightly.
"He is my lord and leader in the fight to protect earth... Or at least that had been our original fight."

She wanted to make sure she had the story down as best as she could.

There was a lot of the story he would have to tell in order for it to be completely straight with her. Looking around he slowly pulled out an orange folded phone and a hexagonal solid object with the kanji for water on the top. He kept them close to his person, but out enough so that she could see them.
"The six of us were of a time of technology and democracy. We call him tono - lord - because he is our leader," he told her. "No one really knows of our group..."

"You can transform with this," she said softly and, strangely enough, the words were somehow similar to the words of her world. She stared in disbelief in it at the moment, then turned to him.
"I don't know of your group, that is true, but I know of a group that is similar, here on the ship. Do you know Billy Cranston?"
no subject
At the question, he nodded. "Takeru and I have already met with him."
no subject
She smiled. "How did that come about?"
no subject
"We call ourselves Shinkengers," he uttered quietly, "I am ShinkenBlue and my mojikara energy is water-based. Takeru is ShinkenRed with the mojikara energy of fire.
"As to meeting Cranston-san, I had been informed by one known as Matt of him and others like him. It is how I know about Tsukasa having been out once."

Water powers. "So, its sort of a strange fate that the two of us should be sitting here together," she laughed. "I'd thought Billy being blue would mean he had an affiliation with water too, but that wasn't the case. Still, its always nice to meet someone with the same affiliation."
She flushed a little at the mention of Matt though. "Yeah, Matt is a pretty thorough guy. He's aprt of our council and all."
no subject
"Perhaps. It is a little interesting that the two of us would meet like this," he agreed.
"So he told me. He invited Takeru and myself to live in the place he runs... And we have been staying there for a while. However we don't want to burden him for too long."
no subject
"I know, especially on shore leave, of all places! I would really like to see you in action, if I ever get the chance. I'm pretty sure that will happen, of course, but let's hope it won't be anytime soon. I'd like to enjoy my vacation time a little bit."
She laughed. "I'm sure he doesn't think that! Billy is the type of person that would only be happy to help! But I wouldn't mind helping you find a new place when you're ready!"

especially if the American counterpart pod popped, whatsince that's what sentai essentially were. But no, they weren't getting off on the wrong foot."I can understand that. I'm still trying to adjust a little bit, and thought I'd come down here to get some things for Takeru and myself while we're able to. Some clothes, some non-synthesized food and tea, some weapons in case our mojikara runs out or doesn't work. Things like that."
"I'm sure Billy isn't," he agreed, "but we don't wish to overstay our welcome. It's a nice place, but it just doesn't feel right to either of us. It's not like what we're used to."
no subject
She nodded. "There are several nice places in the City, I'm sure that you'll find one to your liking. I'm sorry that you gyus haven't found a place comfortable enough for you yet."
