It's five o'clock somewhere!

It was easy to find the Drunken Dragon Tavern, due to the train, and the fact that a good portion of the crew was familiar with the establishment and could point the way. Kang knew that there were a few already planning on stopping by, and that Kaylee could use the help. He also wanted to get more information on the new people, see who was likely to cause problems (Farseer Ildraniath already had) and who wasn't. There were a few he hoped would show up, as well.

Feeling a little happier than usual, despite the Farseer, he took care of business as usual, being sociable and refilling drinks.

[Open post is very open. Feel free to talk to either Kang or Kaylee, or both, or to threadjack (with permission, of course)!]

She listened to him, cutting in with a ludicrous look or a comment here and there. The babbleroar seemed to be lessening, much to her enjoyment, but she really needed to find a home somewhere far, far away from most of this. The sleeping quarters were not doing anything for her getting actual rest.

"You can always get something out here on the city. I've been looking around myself. Plenty of places to claim, regardless of taste. A lot of these buildings are abandoned." He said nonchalantly as he kept on walking, as if reading minds was nothing out of the ordinary.

"Right-o. I was thinking that. I'm not sure, though. Maybe something far away and underground (surrounded by a lead box, maybe?) will help. This is actually kind of strange for me, having no choice whether to be around other minds."

"Well I'm free if you wana bunk up." He said in a semi serious, semi teasing way. No ill-will in how voice or his mind tho, even if his focus seemed to be on getting her home safe.

"As tempting as that may be, I'll have to pass. You see, I'm quite used to sleeping alone. Mostly due to the (annoyingly) latent psychic feedback. Being in close proximity to all of these people here is bad enough."

"Fair enuff, tho if ya ever need someone ta talk to. Just gimme a call, or message me on the comm. I'll be here, I promise." She gave her a sincere smile before continuing on their walk, fairly close to their destination.

She returned the gesture and nodded. "Oh, of course I'll take advantage of that. It's always pleasant to have someone to speak to (and avoid being dreadfully lonely). Even more-so when they're not constantly attempting to dive into my space suit (a al Major Horndog)."

"Well you're a very attractive woman, I don't doubt many have tried. But conversation is always pleasant and more than enough for someone like myself." He replied with a sincere smile as they turned into the quarters where their rooms where held.

When they arrived, she stuck out her small hand as if they'd just met. "Of course! I'd be plenty glad for the conversation as well as the company, Splicer. I haven't run into many (sane) telepaths, so finding new ways to 'abuse'(figuratively) our powers should prove a fun and interesting way to avoid the dreading boredom of the ship."

He smiled and raised her hand up to his lips for a kiss, as any proper well taught gentleman should.

"Sounds like a plan, I'll be looking forward to our next meeting, maybe some adventure. I'm hoping this place isn't dull and uninteresting." He chuckled.

She raised an eyebrow at the action but didn't comment on it. "Oh, I'm certain it will be. What with all the different people, places (and over-active minds), we'll all probably be dying of excitement."

"Eh, it might be literal and I wouldn't want that." He joked back with a hearty laugh.

"I'll be on my way then, see ya 'round Mindfuck." He gave her a slack salute, placed his hands on his jacket pockets and walked off as calm and serene as he had arrived.

"You, too, Splicer." She returned the gesture and turned, disappearing into her room.
