It's five o'clock somewhere!

It was easy to find the Drunken Dragon Tavern, due to the train, and the fact that a good portion of the crew was familiar with the establishment and could point the way. Kang knew that there were a few already planning on stopping by, and that Kaylee could use the help. He also wanted to get more information on the new people, see who was likely to cause problems (Farseer Ildraniath already had) and who wasn't. There were a few he hoped would show up, as well.

Feeling a little happier than usual, despite the Farseer, he took care of business as usual, being sociable and refilling drinks.

"Bile flavored and full of razor blades." That seemed fittingly horrible enough for how she sometimes felt, anyways.

Despite the face she made, she kept drinking the beer. It was far from the worst thing she'd tasted, even if it wouldn't ever be her drink of choice.

He shrugged. "Anything in particular? Personally, I've found that the crew has alleviated some of the problem -- most of them seem to settle in rather quickly. Although I did hear about that fire incident during this last pod release."

She'd have to order some wine or... even liquor next. Something a bit less bitter.

"There are a lot of nice people here. It's... probably a testament to the experienced crew that the newbies settle in so well." Cagalli certainly wouldn't have done as well.

He nodded. "I admit, I had my doubts. However, when KAIN was released aboard the ship, I was impressed by how well even those of us who had never met before pulled together to mount a defense against him."

"I'm actually surprised there aren't more altercations between crew members, as there was during this pod release. That 'Lord Zedd' comes to mind... he would have been the first I'd expect to try to take over the ship, but he's been remarkably well-behaved so far."

She nodded. While she hadn't been involved with KAIN, just hearing about it had been enough, and she had already met Zedd. "He's insane, but not stupid, I guess. Even people who don't like to cooperate learn to for their own sakes, if nothing else."
