It's five o'clock somewhere!

It was easy to find the Drunken Dragon Tavern, due to the train, and the fact that a good portion of the crew was familiar with the establishment and could point the way. Kang knew that there were a few already planning on stopping by, and that Kaylee could use the help. He also wanted to get more information on the new people, see who was likely to cause problems (Farseer Ildraniath already had) and who wasn't. There were a few he hoped would show up, as well.

Feeling a little happier than usual, despite the Farseer, he took care of business as usual, being sociable and refilling drinks.

"Good for you. Can you make a robot?"

"I can, from simple ones to much more complex ones. But I'm still working out the different tech and different robots from other worlds."

"Complex enough to be a heavy assault robot that takes a group to take down." Sure the schematics were stolen from the Legion, but she'd keep that bit to herself.

Howard whistles appreciatively. "Nice. I can fix a toaster, that's about it."

She smiled a bit embarrassed. "You also have your specialties, from what Ive gathered, you're an amazing scavenger and information gatherer. Those skills alone are invaluable specially in a situation like the one we're all in."

"Hopefully not too invaluable. If Spacey Stacy thinks she can send me out to go spying and risking my neck for her she's got some delusions about who she picked up." The idea of reckless machismo has never been one to appeal to Howard.

"Can't blame ya, I don't trust the ship at all. It's too shrouded in maybe's, what if's and unknowns. And what most people know, they keep to themselves, and they expect you to trust?" She rolled her eyes.

He snorts in agreement. "Stacy must think she's getting people who are a lot more naive or stupid than what she ended up with."

"Like the thing about the previous crews. Did they really think people wouldn't question her motives after they found out about that? And I'm sure most everyone still don't even know about that." she added a bit annoyed.

"What previous crews?" Clearly, Howard's in that most everyone who still don't know.

"Apparently we're not the first crew to be a part of this whole thing. I learned about it during the last planetside mission. There was a crew prior to us who had failed in acquiring the artifact we secured. And apparently a crew before them. All belonging to Stacy. No one was really clear on what happened to them other than they just sorta vanished." She sighed.

"I guess you might guess something really bad happened, or Stacy did something."

"Oh. Oh, great. And here I was thinking this was a step up from the FAYZ," he says bitterly. He's never trusted Stacy, but this is the nail in the coffin. "My money's on Stacy."

"I thought the same." She added before looking to him. "I take it the FAYZ, where like Stacy?"

"If you want random higher powers that make people disappear and don't let you leave, then sure, it's exactly like Stacy. Add in no water, no food, no adults, talking coyotes, flesh-eating worms, no electricity, limited fuel, mutations, racist lynch mobs, a sociopathic zombie who wants to whip you to death, arson, disease, and a squad of eight year-olds carrying semi-automatic weapons, and then you've got the FAYZ."

Complaining about it was his way to cope. Even now, as all those terrible memories bubble up, he's pushing them back down with sardonic detachment.

Ronnae listened with a frown. "Sounds like a hellish place. Sorry you had to go through that. But it looks like your luck didn't turn out for the best but..." She eyes him curiously.

"Out of the two, which would you rather have?" She asked curiously.

He bites his lip, thinking on that, then tries to put the face of neutrality back on. "Not going to lie, having food is pretty nice."
