It's five o'clock somewhere!

It was easy to find the Drunken Dragon Tavern, due to the train, and the fact that a good portion of the crew was familiar with the establishment and could point the way. Kang knew that there were a few already planning on stopping by, and that Kaylee could use the help. He also wanted to get more information on the new people, see who was likely to cause problems (Farseer Ildraniath already had) and who wasn't. There were a few he hoped would show up, as well.

Feeling a little happier than usual, despite the Farseer, he took care of business as usual, being sociable and refilling drinks.

[Open post is very open. Feel free to talk to either Kang or Kaylee, or both, or to threadjack (with permission, of course)!]

"It'd be a shame if we couldn't get along," Trudy said - oh, she caught that once-over and was only too happy to return it. "I'm only a terror to my soldiers. Don't set off explosions in the hangar and we'll get along just fine."

Trudy took a slow drink and rested her elbow on the bar, glancing up at Kang. "What about you? Familiar faces?"

He catches the once over, and has never minded those. All signs suggest he likes her already. "Only thing I'm gonna be doing in the hangar bay is patching your fliers back together, or, y'know, hitting on the hot pilots."

What Kang didn't say mattered to her a lot more than what he did say. Lord whatever of whatever wasn't Fonrar. "Sorry," she said.

It was kind of a kick in the pants to realize that a good portion of everyone else had someone they knew at one point - and if not someone they knew, at least someone from their world. Except her.

She shook that off with another drink and a smile at Chase. "You just made me like you already, if you're going to be with Engineering fixing the birds." The hitting on hot pilots comment? She'd let that one slide. For now.

Yeah, they might just get on fine after all. Of course, he might also hit on her at some point. Remains to be seen how that'll go.

He takes a drink of his own, then nods. "Hey, always good to be in the good graces of air support. Yeah, I'm going to spend what time I can on ground pounder duty, first and foremost, and doing some training. But when that's not going, in engineering - weapons & defense and vehicular."

People were disappearing left and right, same as usual. Trudy hadn't met Ronon, really, but he seemed like a nice enough guy. "Good," she said. "We need commandos. My pilots are a good bunch of kids but they're pilots. Put most of them on the ground and they don't know jack-all about what they're doing. Except maybe Winchester. And Cowabunga. And of course me, but that's the Marines for you."

Two out of the lot of them who could hold their own on foot wasn't a very good number. Trudy frowned. "In fact, I might kick them over to you two pretty soon. That's not really acceptable."

"You want more commandos instead of line troops? Yeah, kick 'em my way. S'my fucking specialty. Stealth ops, hand to hand, infiltration, wetwork... give me a couple months with people who can handle themselves, I'll make more. Or at least get you pilots who can get back behind lines if they go down."
