This Old House, Winchester Style [Open]

The way things kept going with frequent visitors, and how their little family was increasing all the time now... Well the place was just getting too small. So Dean had started working on expanding out some rooms. He went over some plans with Xander recently. (Following a stern talking to about his brother, and how weird the idea of having a possible brother in law now was to all parties. A few threats were made and noted before he finally tabled the topic for the time being.)

The sound of hammering could easily be heard in their part of the city. Furthermore, between the humid temperature of the ship, and exertion from the construction project, Dean was now working shirtless with jeans and boots.

"I'll be mad if I'm not invited," Kang grinned.

"Actually, there's a reason I came here today. I had something I wanted to ask you."

Blinking, Kang paused and looked over at Dean, honestly surprised (and happy) by that statement. "You know, there aren't many humans that would say that about my kind." He'd gotten the impression that Dean didn't let strangers into his life very easily.

Taking a deep breath, he set down his tools as well and looked around, "Are Sam or Tom here right now?"

"Knowing someone for a while doesn't always make them family," Kang pointed out, though he was smiling. It wasn't the same as having his mate and hatchlings around, but it still meant a lot to him.

He nodded, and moved closer, lowering his voice just in case, "Good. I'm asking you this because I trust you, and think you'd do well at it. I have a small, highly secret, spy group, for use during missions, or for when there's suspicious activity aboard the ship. We don't want another bomb incident, after all. Would you be interested in joining?"

"And blood doesn't always mean family," Kang muttered to himself.

"...Strike Team?"

Kang quirked an eyebrow ridge, nodding, "Dirty work?"
governorkang: (Home / Hatchlings are a handful)

"Believe me, I understand. I had people of my own for such work back in Teyr," Kang smiled wryly.
governorkang: (Having fun)

"Pretty much. I'll let you know if I need you for anything, but most of the time, you'll be on stand-by," Kang nodded. "I would invite Sam, as well, but until Schmuz has a body of his own, I think it's best to wait."

Kang frowned slightly. He hated Sam's situation, too, but he didn't feel like getting into a possible argument with Dean about it, so he chose not to say anything further on the subject and took a few steps back.

"I've got a bit of time still until I need to go to the tavern, so let's see how much of this we can get done."

"Construction is one of my specialties," Kang grinned, getting back to work. It was one of the things he was very proud of.
