Where we Stand (The Outsider's training Post)
[I wanna bendy time this to two days after the announcement, so it won't seem too random.]
She felt guilty that she had taken this long. They had met several weeks ago, and she had made a promise to get to training as soon as she could. Sadly, things came up that had forced her to take some time for herself: she was in a better place now, and it was time to get back to business. uh
When it came down to it, the marriage planet had been good for couples, but her interest was with what happened with the people who hadn't participated. Once again, there was an attack, and when it happened, despite them being strong, capable people, it regressed to arguments and pointless infighting, and this was a problem. Then of course there was the idea of how to compliment one fighting style and another. After thought, the best thing to do seemed to have all the guys come here, show what they could do, and start organizing training that way, get some input, trade different information, relay tactics. It would be unorganized for this meeting alone, but afterward they could start and tailor the training to their strengths, add in situations that played on their weaker points for good measure.
This would be a good way to get other people talking, really start to learn about how they fought and where they came from. The Sensorium would be blank for now: she figured Beastboy should be the one to add a little flair to their surroundings.
She did have to compose herself a little though: she hadn't been happy to hear Tavros was gone. He had been a nice person, and he was Alex's roommate.

Hit Girl's training with the Overlord had not been in vain: her speed had increased exponentially, and though she was kicking ass, she had no time to be taking names about it. Everything was quick, just like a REAL fight, and she was going to take full advantage of the craziness, running and taking her lumps. She hadn't been staying back like the water chick and that guy, so she got a few shots to the back, the leg and the chest. She swore loudly and started batting at some of shots before continuing to run on, then pulled out the guns.
"OK fuckers, let's go!" She yelled, shooting at some of the prinnies before they could start raining down and causing more havoc. That helped, but didn't prevent an ice spell from hitting her full in the face and then making her slip.
Once again, REALLY wishing she'd learned about delayed spells.

"Hey I forget, is it every hero for themselves or are we all on the same team?" He pointed at Ronnae who as it stands was the closest one to winning the day.

"I think Ronnae could use some help!"

Darting through the sea of legs as a snake he slid directly under Ronnae and shifted back into gorilla form to catch her before she hit the ground.

All right, fine! Turnabout is fair play! The interior of the back fortress wall abruptly puffed dust out in a large square as a panel disengaged and fell open. The Flying Dog emerged, discharging a pair of warheads towards the hapless Outsiders as the 200mm beam cannon warmed up.

Not on her watch.
She swallowed, praying this would work, then took her shield and threw it at the warheads with dead accuracy, making sure they would explode before hitting any of the other members. She sighed inwardly, as she loved her shield, but if it would stop the warheads...

She couldn't believe she dropped her guard like that, then again she wasn't expecting the pole to be more than just that, even less a damn mage spring out of nowhere. Soon as the paralysis was gone, she'd show him just why cloth wearers were her favorite targets. That is if he wasn't dealt with already.

"I'm g-good, thanks..." She looked outwards to the battlefield before moving from his side, not wanting to fall for another trap.

It was a maneuver he knew as the "Fastball special" Hopefully Ronnae would catch on.
He gave her a glance waiting for an OK. With muscles like the ones flexing under his green furry arm he could lift cars let alone the speed that she would be flung with.
And with any luck, Zetta was too busy to notice them.

Only as he did this did he see a large flaw in his plan...

Hit Girl was used to quick fighting and, thanks to his training? Was used to suspecting that in an Overlord Zetta simulation, you NEVER went for the object desired without expecting a trap. So once Ronnae went down and Beastboy went to her aid, Hit Girl saw her chance and scrambled over, glad to have all those minions out of the way. She was definitely breathing a little harder now, and she had several cuts and bruises along with rips to her cape, but she was still at a better vantage point to getting that flag now.
Provided that Overlord Zetta didn't have something else waiting, or that water girl and the guy with all of the stuff didn't start sprinting towards the thing themselves.

That bought then a brief moment as the launchers rearmed, though the beam cannon discharged towards Sho in a crackle of air-splitting thunder.
From the top of the ramparts, a fishing line raced downwards, the comically-oversized hook aimed for the gorilla. On the pole, the swinging door banged open so the paralysis-inducing lightning mage could discharge more bolts at Hit Girl.
And as Ronnae, soared for the flag, the massive pennant cracked open one eye, then almost lazily opened a massive maw to simply ingest the soaring orc girl.

Inside she was freaking out, finally withdrawing her swords and swinging wildly at anything inside. She had a phobia of getting swallowed, mainly due to her encounters with C'Thun and Yogg-Saron. She wanted out, and she wanted it fast. 'I c-can't, not again.' She couldn't even focus well enough to build up her aura, instead it was more despair than fury lashing out at her surroundings.

"Sho, Spiderman, give Beastboy your assistance! Hit Girl saw the mage, she'll have to take it on herself! I'm going for the mouth!"
Yes it was just a simulation, but Ronnae's fear was real, and if this happened to Ronnae in a fight, Katara knew her reaction would be the same. She launched herself up toward the mouth, sword in hand, and for a moment, the usually sweet waterbender looked dangerous, and now one could see exactly what Katara could do if pushed.

And when he felt a hook snag him he let out a beastlike yelp and shifted forms sharply into that of a small birt darting through the air at the flag, flapping with all the power his tiny wings could carry.
It was his stupid idea that got her in there and he'd be damned if he was gonna let her freak out last longer then it had to.

"Shield." It hit her, and while she felt a little numb, it wasn't like the full on bind that had taken Ronnae. It just went to show that Hit Girl had more than one trick up her sleeve, and was glad at least that she could come a little closer to ending this simulation, reaching out for the flag.
She hoped she had some cover though: things were starting to get pretty hairy.

of these motherfarking snakesof this simulation watching on the sidelines and her own distraction done and finished, she sprung right into the other group behind Hit Girl, in her bright yellow spandex costume twirling her lighting stick like her life depended on it.Trying. Really hard.
Not to crack a joke about something but sometimes these sentai urges were stronger than her. At least the adrenaline was high enough that she managed to keep her mouth shut this time and just concentrated on ending the simulation with the others.

The minion with the fishing pole yanked hard to sink the hook into Beastboy, then began flailing about violently just to yank him around as it reeled him in.
Obstacle the second, Hit Girl: the next ten feet of the flagpole were greased quite vigorously. And at the bottom of that section, the mage switched his attention to Katara as she jumped past, hurling lightning at the waterbender.
Lash... actually contributed the most to this engagement, at the moment. Because no sooner than did she appear, in costume, on the scene than the Overlord briefly lost all ability to coordinate the attacks thanks to a fit of paralytic laughter. "Who invited the Prism Ranger?!"
no subject
Yeah...that's a good idea.
I hope this wall of text tag is okay.
The fact she was not a huge fan of yellow in the first place had already meant she was on the edge anytime someone mentioned it's bright color. Then the fact that said costume had slowly grown on her. Which meant. You did not. Diss. The costume.
The rage nearly overcame her, and lightning crackled around her body as if it was trying to get away from her. It did not want to be there. She twirled around the staff before the top orb opened up and a much more deadly spearhead peeked from the top. Time seemed to slow down and swirl around her. She swung her right arm back, and with all the strength she could manage, threw the lightning-cracking staff, spearhead first, right at fishing pole minion's head, hoping it would make contact. But she wasn't really checking to see if it had hit him or not. Oh no. Her anger was all directed at Zetta, you see.
"YOU..." Her voice was loud, angry, breathing in and our in a rather violent manner, carrying a warning. "...DO NOT LAUGH AT THE OUTFIT!" She removed her blaster from its holster and carried another, black gun that didn't fit her obvious yellow-themed weapon arsenal but was a souvenir from her old home. With a slightly inhuman cry and a display of acrobatics, she used the sentai gun's rope mode to attach itself around Beastboy's dinosaur form much like she would have done to climb her giant robot, pulling herself towards him and used the other to shoot things around her as she zoomed past them, tarzan style.
"NO MORE MISS NICE PERKY GOTH!" Oh but she wasn't just about done. Zetta wasn't to test them, and dissing her outfit really got her blood flowing. Suddenly she didn't just want to impress him. Lash wanted to crush him. She hadn't started out as a sentai in the first place, which meant it was time to bring out the big guns (metaphorically). The ace up her sleeve. Commanding Officer Powers. Thankfully unleashing a CO power didn't require a flourish of the hand, just a few words. The outsiders were a group, and she was part of them. That is all she needed.
"Terrain Tactics!" To the naked eye, nothing seemed to have happened. But a surge of energy flew from her into all of the other members, boosting their defenses and attacks. Maybe the overlord would understand just how deadly everyone could be together, if they all suddenly were able to move like super-powered acrobats in tight spaces.
It is a wall of awesome.
