Where we Stand (The Outsider's training Post)
[I wanna bendy time this to two days after the announcement, so it won't seem too random.]
She felt guilty that she had taken this long. They had met several weeks ago, and she had made a promise to get to training as soon as she could. Sadly, things came up that had forced her to take some time for herself: she was in a better place now, and it was time to get back to business. uh
When it came down to it, the marriage planet had been good for couples, but her interest was with what happened with the people who hadn't participated. Once again, there was an attack, and when it happened, despite them being strong, capable people, it regressed to arguments and pointless infighting, and this was a problem. Then of course there was the idea of how to compliment one fighting style and another. After thought, the best thing to do seemed to have all the guys come here, show what they could do, and start organizing training that way, get some input, trade different information, relay tactics. It would be unorganized for this meeting alone, but afterward they could start and tailor the training to their strengths, add in situations that played on their weaker points for good measure.
This would be a good way to get other people talking, really start to learn about how they fought and where they came from. The Sensorium would be blank for now: she figured Beastboy should be the one to add a little flair to their surroundings.
She did have to compose herself a little though: she hadn't been happy to hear Tavros was gone. He had been a nice person, and he was Alex's roommate.

Granted, Ronnae was a little heavy, but Katara didn't mind dropping her sword and using her muscle to grab her.

Yay teamwork!

She grabbed the flag, pulled it, and fell over, exhausted. Stupid obstacles and stupid insanity...
She got up, dusting herself off. "Woo hoo," she said with a definite hint of sarcasm.

"Everybody ok?"

"Wh-what hap-" She rolled back and stood up to look around, a startled look before realizing she wasn't in the creatures maw. She looked down quickly embarrassed, holding herself.

The Overlord banished the entire image with a thought, gathering the group together on an innocuous-looking field. One of the minions wandered up to Katara, offering her shield back, while another started pitching healing spells into the crowd.
"Don't get rough on yourselves. I wasn't exactly making this a cakewalk," Zetta said, grinning. "Of course, you forgot to defend your own flag, so my team captured it about ten seconds after we started, but better luck next time."
He held that smug expression just long enough to see the inevitable reactions of horror and dismay, then burst into laughter. Horrible, horrible troll that he is.

And THAT breaking news did bring a look of horror to Katara's face. It was no different than when she hd been on Zozek II and she had that choice of preventing another Ohm fire attack or defending the people in the house.
"I'm sorry guys," she said to the Outsider's, looking crestfallen. "I should have been paying attention. I take responsibility for our losing."

Demons are evil, remember? NOW maybe they'll believe it!

She clenched her fists and looked down, waiting for the rage to subside.
"We had no one on 'D' did we...." She asked more to herself than anything.

She felt a bit responsible for not thinking things through. She had been in this scenario one too many times and she still couldn't fight it. Oh well, maybe next time...

"Well, despite the craziness, this is a lot of what we should expect when we're fighting. Today was just taking out projectiles, running through the gauntlet, and taking out enemies. The next time we have a simulation though, I want to hopefully focus on direct team work. If we ever have to fight the Ohm, or really anyone else, its going to take a combined effort. Today's exercise was so we could get an idea of what our powers are, and what we can do."
She paused. "So what did you guys long?"

"Good job on pretending there had been another flag however!" Yeah she hadn't fell for it, no way! Maybe just a little.
