Flights of Meh-ncy [Open]

Pixie darted around the skyline of the city, quite honestly bored with herself. She supposed that she could have gone to the media library, but really wasn't something she was feeling all that moment, and one could only groove to so many Dazzler tunes in the Sensoriums before getting bored of that as well.

Exhausting all of her resources (and convincing herself that it would be improper to sell people her hallucinogenic pixie dust), Pixie had instead decided to play Tinkerbell. Sure, it was immature, but she had wings, and what better thing to do than circle around this castle or that, pretending to be the famous fairy that Walt Disney had made his mascot so many years ago?

A lot, actually, Megan, Pixie thought to herself as she circled around the Gotham Clocktower before coming down in the statuary.

She hadn't actually seen this place before either, now that she came to think of it. Hopefully, none of the statues here would show her things she would rather not know. She'd had enough of that upstairs.

She landed in front of Luke Skywalker and flipped a switch at its base. Nothing. She flipped it again. Still nothing. Pixie then backed away and sprinkled sparkly pixie dust on the statue. Still nothing, but at least it looked pretty?

Pixie sighed.

She needed something...adventurous.

Jayne grunted, "Good, good." He blinked again no doubt to clear his blurry vision and then remarked offhandedly, "Shoulda known...too pretty to be a Reaver." If he was aware that he had said that out loud he didn't show it. "Mutants back home ain't exactly the friendly sort so...good for you, us...whatever."

"Wait what? I didn't do anything." He misunderstood her at first due to his state of mind.

"S'fine." He sat down a little too hard and his mind began to collect itself again, "What'd the humans do to you?"

Jayne's confused look persisted, "That's dumb as hell. You look mostly normal." He grumbled, "And the hell's evolution gotta do with it?"

"If you're gonna hate someone just hate em...don't try and make excuses." Jayne continued bluntly, "Hell most of the damn verse is full of dumbasses and rats, stab ya soon as they shake your hands."

[identity profile] icanhashat.livejournal.com 2011-03-10 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Jayne snorted, "Of coarse I am! I'm a big damn hero!" He jerked a thumb at himself proudly, "Saved the whole damn verse already."

JAyne barked out laughing, "Hell no, there was this plot right? The government was trying to make people better, buncha monsters, the kind, reavers. I helped fight off the reavers while the captain got the message out." He smirked, "Killed a mess of Reavers that day."

Jayne nodded proud of himself, There was just a handful of us, and by the end of things it was just me, everyone else had been wounded. Out of ammo, hope runnin' out. But I fought. I fought em all dead and even if we didn't knock the whole alliance out, we sure taught em a lesson about messin' with people." He grinned an impish grin, clearly proud of himself and his mildly embellished story.

"Yeah, that's about the size of it." And then, because of his inebriation he decided to ask her something he'd been pondering for awhile.

"Hey, say like...you knew someone died, but then they show up on Stacy. Should I tell him?"

Jayne grunted and gave her a confused look, "How the hell does that work? Do you claw yourself outta the dirt or something?"

The concept of coming back to life after death for the moment distracted him from the rare moral issue he actually thought about.

Jayne barked out a laugh, "Hell no! He's an annoying runt!"

An annoying runt who had saved his life a couple of times with his pilot skills. But still annoying.

Jayne was still laughing.

"You ain't exactly the sinister lookin' type." He shot back. She had to admit it wasn't a terrible idea though.

That earned another laugh and a bemused smirk, "Dust em? Hell you don't look like you've ever killed before. Probably not even a flower." Then again even Jayne had to admit he had learned never to judge a woman by her looks. River looked like a harmless little space case, but she could rip people apart.
