[CLOSED] He's The One They Call Doctor Feelgood
Now Duo wasn't one to call himself an expert on the subject, but he knew it was one of those things he knew he just had to get involved with when he saw it. Just like that guy and the princess.... Duo shook his head as he slid down Deathscythe's wrench to the hangar floor, determined in his intent.
He was gonna make sure that Setsuna and Feldt didn't screw it up.
Strolling across the Hangar floor, he moseyed himself along towards Celestial Being's machines- specifically, towards the Gundam Dynames, trying as best he could to be unseen or at least innocuous looking to Setsuna and Feldt as he did so.
After that, if he could convince Lockon, it was just a matter of the Team of Two breaking the will of Captain and Lady Lineface.

"Hey, buddy! Is Lockon around? I got some business to talk with him."

The air with which he insisted so probably would not instill much confidence in the claim.

"What's up?"
no subject
"Hey, what's up with Setsuna and Feldt, huh? Ever since they came back from that planet something's seemed kinda ...off."
Leaning back into his own cube of space, he cocked his head. "You don't think they're... yanno...." He raised a brow of implication.

"I'm amazed that Exia is in this good of condition," she commented to Setsuna.

much. He was standing next to her, quietly peering over her shoulder as she worked."Everything seemed to be in working order." At least it was during his last check of the suit. "Though I haven't reinstalled its GN Drive and field tested it yet." He was going to do that the day he and Lockon had tested Dynames, but Lockon thought it was better not to after the uproar they caused. Still, the amount of power they were able to get by siphoning off GN particles from the 00 was more than enough to run system tests.

If he wanted go to back to using Exia, she wouldn't mind. Exia may not be as powerful as the 00 Raiser, but she knew that he was fond of the older suit. She couldn't blame him, it was what he first piloted.
no subject
And as it was now, everything was exactly as it should be. Which, in and of itself, bothered him a little.
"I wonder why they decided to rebuild it..." he thought out loud. Rebuilding the 00 after the final battle at L2, he could understand. But even Celestial Being decided to scrap Exia in favor of a new unit (something he disagreed with, because Exia deserved better, but he could understand the reasons behind that). So why did their keepers go through such great lengths to repair it?
no subject
After rolling his eyes oh-so-subtly at their expected work talk, he knocked on Exia's leg, calling up to them.
"Hey, I know you're running a secret society up here and all, but mind if I come up?"
no subject
She blinked, her fingers pausing on the keyboard in front of her. She looked up at Setsuna, wondering what he would do.
no subject
"We'll come down," was his response. Mobile suit cockpits weren't the most spacious of places, and Exia's was designed to hold only one person. Both him and Feldt made it a little cramped all ready, adding a third person would've been a tight squeeze.
no subject
Grinning to himself as he thought up this scheme, he glanced around the corner towards Dynames, waiting for the other two to come down and catching Setsuna by the shoulder when they did.
"Yo, Setsuna~ Be a pal, huh? I need some help making adjustments to my buster shield, and Lockon's takin' Feldt to help with his repairs, so... Well, it's up to you!"
Which was bullshit, naturally. But hopefully, Lockon would take the hint and head off Feldt.

"What was it that you needed my help with?" He asked, staring at the machine from the foot of it.
no subject
"I finally finished the transfer of my buster shield, but I need another set of hands to check that everything is alright up there while I'm in the cockpit recalibratin' D-Hell's system to recognize it, now that the wiring is finished. It's got a beam weapon inside it, so if the wirin' is all funny that's a problem," he explained. "Be a pal and make sure nothing starts looking funny while I'm in the cockpit?"
He'd ease into the actual point of the conversation once the work was underway, of course.
no subject
The Deathscythe sounded almost archaic, considering that most everything Celestial Being had was powered by GN particles. Even the bulk of the Solar Power Generation System was largely wire free. But Setsuna was kind enough to keep his thoughts to himself on the matter.
"Roger that," was all he said in response.
no subject
This was a very smart move on Setsuna's part. If there was anything Duo got defensive over, it was his machines. Then again, Setsuna didn't seem very different on that front.
Once they were up towards the cockpit, Duo flopped into his chair and spun around, hiding the interface from view with the internal blast doors. He didn't trust Setsuna enough to allow him to view the cockpit that much- but they were left open enough that Duo's pilotseat at least still showed, so they could talk.
"Hey, can I ask you a question?" He called as he started running the diagnostic tests.
no subject
"You're going to ask anyway."
In the meantime, he'd observe what he could of the wiring and electrical systems.
no subject
After a moment of typing sounds from inside the cockpit, his voice called again, "Well... What's it like growing up among a commune with your allies like that? Training together and stuff. Us pilots back home... Well, we're not really tight-knit like you guys," he explained. "If you think that's the right word, anyway."
Even if he had ulterior motives for asking, it was something he'd been wondering.
no subject
"But... you learn to understand each other." Even if they couldn't stand each other sometimes.
no subject
The response got a long, thoughtful silence, permeated only by his typing. After a few minutes, he replied, "Yeah, makes sense."
"Is 'family' a better or worse word?"
