Cranston For Hire [Open!]
It was once again time for Billy to assess the progress being made in this seemingly endless war with tasks and deadlines. So far, reorganization of the Engineering department was about 25% complete. Not terrible for a day's work, but he could certainly do better. Several projects were stalled pending discussion from the involved parties. His social time and interactions with the Rangers had taken a hit due to all of this.
Though he was following his orders to take more resting time during the day and having fun with Ronnae on many of the nights, nothing stopped him from taking on more than enough work to fill the compressed schedule.
Today's work: Supervising the new structure and performing odd jobs around the ship. Repairs were going well in the hangar, Neuropathy needed to be left alone, infrastructure was busy in the City. He visited wherever he could and lent a hand to each, struggling to find time for what he wanted to do in secret: move his personal belongings to his girlfriend's house.
As Billy wandered back and forth throughout the day, a stuffed backpack always accompanied him. Throughout the day, the loaded-down teenager made trips between a number of places on the upper levels and a particular house in the City. Distracted as he was with the constant juggling of omnicom, comm ring, tools, and items, he eventually wore himself out.
Where he ended up shouldn't be a surprise: in the city park, fast asleep, sprawled across an assortment of odd items. Somehow, he'd note when he woke up, he doubted this was what had been meant by the recommendation for 'personal time'.
((ooc: The two location tags basically mean you can catch him anywhere: asleep with shiny stuff to steal or rushing back and forth between the different areas of the ship. Just make a note of where you found him.))

"Yes, I thought that too. You're both private people, and I figure you wouldn't want to be all over the place. I think its sweet."
Wait, her? What could they do? She thought a moment, then something occurred to her. "Can we one day run a simulation where we're on a ship? It was only brief, but Captain Picard showed me the Enterprise, and it was pretty amazing. I'd love to be in and hear about the mechanics of a ship, if that's ok with you?"
no subject
"If we're all over the place, you can safely assume that something's wrong with me." He made a face, then slipped into a thoughtful expression.
"I'm not the most knowledgeable about starships, but I can research them for you. We can take our time exploring."
no subject
"Oh, of course, Billy. Then again, you also said you weren't going to be dating Ronnae either. Who knows if that will change, and you know what? Maybe you might like it: there's nothing better than being with a person that brings out the best in you.Sometimes you can't help yourself."
Katara nodded. "That would be great! I always wanted to be on a ship again: you know, one not like Stacy that's alive."
no subject
"We'll see about that, but I can definitely work at constructing a ship simulation. We'll take the grand tour."
And they reached the dropoff point at Ronnie's house. He left the things just inside the doorway, then pulled Katara into his arms as soon as her things were set down. Just because.

"I think when Captain Picard showed me parts of the universe, near so many stars: I don't know, it was just amazing. I also hoped I'd be able to go on a ship again one day."
The hug surprised her, but was far from unwanted. Katara hugged back, hard, thankful she'd found Billy that day when she first came into contact with Renne. Thanks to him, she could still keep going, and she was very proud at how far he'd come.

Billy thought for a moment, then playfully bopped her in the nose before settling down in the antechamber. "And now I'll rest, as promised. I don't need to earn any more ire"
no subject
She wrinkled her nose, then grinned when Billy finally settled down. "Good. If anyone deserves the rest, its you. Let me go get you some pillows."
no subject
Overall, though, he was satisfied with the life he had.
"Pillows? What kind of rest are you asking me to take, exactly?"
no subject
"The rest where you're comfortable," Katara said. "Now you stay there, I'll be right back."
no subject
She was humming a soothing mellow tune as she bathed herself. Down the silent hall, it wasn't hard to hear her soft tune and water running.
no subject
from Godto find the pillows, so Katara had left Billy and was investigating upstairs. She had walked out, looking for a room where they might be kept, when she heard the humming. Curious, Katara walked over where the sound was coming from. Was there actually running water here?? She had to find out.

"I'm sorry for not knocking, but I.." Katara started to say, and then saw who exactly was in the bathroom. She froze, her hair almost standing on end. Ok, she had definitely not had a reason to feel a little envy toward Ronnae, until about now.
"R-Ronnae?!"
no subject
And it echoed down the hall.
She kicked up a large metal staff that was partially hidden on the floor and caught it in her hand taking a defensive stance and trying to cover what she futilely could with the other. Really? It was useless.
no subject
That kick came in the form of a familiar voice yelling. Ronnie's in trouble, go!, Billy's brain screamed, forcing him to leap off the couch and sprint upstairs. His right fist grabbed the morpher, about ready to swing it into action. Just a look around the corner and he'd see the threat---
---or not.
He skidded to a stop right behind Katara and looked up, where he happened to see Ronnae. More specifically, Ronnae in a battle stance and fresh from the bath, fresh enough that she hadn't had the chance to put anything on.
Wow, she's really beauti---I need to turn and run. She's vulnerable and upset, this is wrong, and both of these women are very capable of killing me.
After a second of frozen shock and awe, he made an attempt to flee before she saw him.
no subject
But she didn't get to finish her sentence, because in her curiosity she had totally forgotten to put back on boots, and so she tried to walk over and reassure Ronnae and it backfired. She slipped on the floor tile, and had to actually grab onto Ronnae so she wouldn't fall over.
Though at this point it was both of them taking a tumble.

She held onto Katara and pushed them both away from the edge of the bath and rolling on the bath rug right into --

When he dashed back to check on them, Billy's shoe caught on a combination of the rug and Katara's back. The shoe stayed with Katara, but thanks to the wonderful principle of momentum, the human himself went flying over the girls and crashing into the bath, meeting a bruised and splash-worthy landing inside it.
With all the hard surfaces, that was going to sting. And with the water, it was going to splash the girls.
no subject
But that relief would only last for a moment. Then Billy crashed into her back, and she definitely hung onto Ronnae now, not expecting the jarring hit. He flew over their heads though, and hit the bath fairly hard, splashing them both.
She was naturally, concerned about Billy, even more than nakedness and awkwardness, still clinging a little to Ronnae. "Billy! Are you all right?"

"Don't worry, you weren't supposed to. It was...from the sounds of it, a big mess of a misunderstanding. I should be apologizing!"
no subject
She sighed. She did actually scratch her leg more than she meant to, but she was ignoring that for now. She tossed Ronnae a towel. "I'm sorry, Ronnae."
no subject
She pulled Billy gently out and ran some fresh water at the beckon of another set of sin'dorei words. She didn't know if fresh water was better for Katara's bending but it was the only thing she could think of. She brushed some of his hair from his face before smiling embarrassed at him. Her own hair still wet and matted to different parts of her exposed body.
no subject
"I suppose it could've been worse," Billy thought aloud. "I managed to save myself from a concussion, and there wasn't really an attack. But I'm still sorry this had to happen."
no subject
"I think its safe to say we all got to know each other a little more intimately today," Katara said, trying to not making a potentially awkward situation worse.
