Cranston For Hire [Open!]
It was once again time for Billy to assess the progress being made in this seemingly endless war with tasks and deadlines. So far, reorganization of the Engineering department was about 25% complete. Not terrible for a day's work, but he could certainly do better. Several projects were stalled pending discussion from the involved parties. His social time and interactions with the Rangers had taken a hit due to all of this.
Though he was following his orders to take more resting time during the day and having fun with Ronnae on many of the nights, nothing stopped him from taking on more than enough work to fill the compressed schedule.
Today's work: Supervising the new structure and performing odd jobs around the ship. Repairs were going well in the hangar, Neuropathy needed to be left alone, infrastructure was busy in the City. He visited wherever he could and lent a hand to each, struggling to find time for what he wanted to do in secret: move his personal belongings to his girlfriend's house.
As Billy wandered back and forth throughout the day, a stuffed backpack always accompanied him. Throughout the day, the loaded-down teenager made trips between a number of places on the upper levels and a particular house in the City. Distracted as he was with the constant juggling of omnicom, comm ring, tools, and items, he eventually wore himself out.
Where he ended up shouldn't be a surprise: in the city park, fast asleep, sprawled across an assortment of odd items. Somehow, he'd note when he woke up, he doubted this was what had been meant by the recommendation for 'personal time'.
((ooc: The two location tags basically mean you can catch him anywhere: asleep with shiny stuff to steal or rushing back and forth between the different areas of the ship. Just make a note of where you found him.))

She sighed. She did actually scratch her leg more than she meant to, but she was ignoring that for now. She tossed Ronnae a towel. "I'm sorry, Ronnae."

She pulled Billy gently out and ran some fresh water at the beckon of another set of sin'dorei words. She didn't know if fresh water was better for Katara's bending but it was the only thing she could think of. She brushed some of his hair from his face before smiling embarrassed at him. Her own hair still wet and matted to different parts of her exposed body.

"I suppose it could've been worse," Billy thought aloud. "I managed to save myself from a concussion, and there wasn't really an attack. But I'm still sorry this had to happen."
no subject
"I think its safe to say we all got to know each other a little more intimately today," Katara said, trying to not making a potentially awkward situation worse.
no subject
"S-sorry."
no subject
"We're going to be fine," Billy assured them, making an attempt to wring out his shirt. "It's just water and easily treatable injuries."
no subject
And she did really, but was grateful for the bandaging. "Thank you."

"These things have a tendency to happen constantly," Billy mused. "Remember making my clothes disappear?"
no subject
"Yeah, that was pretty annoying," Katara admitted, but it had actually been a good day for her and Billy.

"..yes," Billy flushed, ducking his head. "You've both made my clothes vanish at one point or another. I've had the worst luck."
no subject
"We all have pretty bad luck," Katara said, wincing. "I swear, it would be easy to just be comfortable with each other in the nude. That way, when this stuff happens, we won't make it worse."
no subject
"I'll on-ly be a minute!" She called out as she gently closed the door.
no subject
So he was left alone in the room with Katara, awkwardly trying to wring water off of himself. "Are you sure you'll be okay, Katara?"
no subject
She brought her hand up, bringing the water off of Billy quickly. "I'm fine, I just feel like an idiot. Sorry about that."
She shook her head. "You have to admit though: she's got an amazing body."
no subject
She sat on her bed for a few minutes, looking at the baggy clothing she had taken out to change into earlier. She felt so vulnerable when naked...
She shook her head, wiping her eyes and changed quickly. Not the time for this Ronnie... She opened the door after a good five to ten minutes, starting to walk downstairs to meet everyone. She had fixed her hair into an incredibly long single ponytail, she left her usual bangs, one covering her left side of her face. She had a long sleeved shirt, and some baggy pajama pants. She did a shy wave as she walked down.

He silently squeezed Katara's hand, assuring her that it wasn't her fault, but then she had to go and say that. Billy didn't dignify it with a verbal response, but when Ronnie came down the stairs she would find her boyfriend blushing for no discernible reason.
no subject
At Billy's blush, she giggled. "Sorry, I know its still weird to think about, but she is gorgeous. I hope she'll feel more comfortable with you in time. But I'll try not to do something like that again."
no subject
Gah! Why were they talking about her? She doesn't like the attention; attention brought nothing but horrid things in her life, things she wished she could forget but knew she couldn't. She picked up Boomy, who was cleaning up her room, and hugged him to her chest. "Boomy, you'll keep me safe right?" The small bomb beeped and whirred and squirmed in her hands trying to be comforting.
She took a deep breath before she headed out and downstairs again, this time carrying her little bomb with her. She jumped down instead of taking the steps, landing gracefully. She jumped over the couch and landed, sitting on the couch opposing to the two. "H-here!" She said timidly.

When she returned, he was looking in his lap. "Hey, I'm really sorry about all of this. I should probably get back to my enforced nap," he said in a rush.
By the feelings along the Bond, it was clear that he didn't blame Katara. It was a natural thing to happen, but...it was his fault. He shouldn't have fallen for Katara's goading.
no subject
Katara flushed a little, feeling even worse that now Billy was feeling so awkward. "Um, I can go if you guys want: I really shouldn't have bothered you guys, I was just trying to help Billy move."
She actually did feel like she made things worse now. She actually wished he could get Ronnae alone a moment, just so she could apologize more personally.

He nudged Katara a little when Ronnie was out of sight, inclining his head toward the kitchen.

She got up and walked over to where Ronnae was making preparation. "Could you show me how to make cocoa?"
