Most of the people who used the Sensoriums fell into two categories: They either wanted to use the place to find some new and creative way to break themselves in half, or they used it to replicate their home in some kind escapist fantasy. Leon didn't fall into either one of those groups, which may explain why he didn't use the sensoriums much, if at all. He figured whatever they would face in the rest of the ship would find new and creative ways to try to break him into pieces, and as much as he missed home, he'd rather deal with the reality of the situation than pretend this wasn't happening.

He did, however, visit the media library fairly frequently. He didn't bother looking up too much information on himself, particularly after he became aware of Resident Evil. Nor did he look up information on others unless he absolutely needed to. But listening to some music and browsing through books and articles did help him relax. So did the game of Tetris he was able to download to his phone, but flipping through stuff was a bit more productive. At least then he might learn more about this ship, its purpose, the Ohm, and the mysterious Third Party.

In between Tetris breaks, anyway.

Luckily his mother raised him well, lethal talents aside.

"Not long, only a couple of weeks at best. Considering I've never seen you around much before, I'm guessing you're part of the group that popped out while we were on the surface."

So his mother taught him to shoot zombies and kick their heads in? No wonder he has issues with women.

She nodded. "Sounds about right. You were on the mission with Chief?"

You do not want to mess with the women in his family. Or most of the other women he knows, really.

"Yeah, though we were assigned to different groups when we were on the surface."

It sounds like it. Though that might be more threatening if Kelly wasn't.. you know, Kelly.

She thought about that for a moment. "So what did you do before you landed here?" He rubs off as some sort of police officer, or some other type of enforcer.

She'd fit right in, really.

"Federal Agent, United States Strategic Command." Not that it would mean much to her, but he gave her the formal answer anyway.

She probably would.

That got a pause. "Haven't heard of the USSC in any of the history books. What role does it play?"

"Its existence is public knowledge, but we don't out of our way to grab attention.

"STRATCOM," he corrected her, as that was their preferred shorthand, "is a sub division of the US Department of Defense, specifically under the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The short version," since the long version made peoples eyes glaze over about ten sentences in, "is that it acts as a bridge between the military and civilian law enforcement agencies to monitor, investigate, and coordinate responses to various threats to US interests that originate in international waters, foreign soil, cyberspace, and outer space...

"...which I suppose means that I can call this whole thing a business trip."

Sounded a lot like O.N.I. to be frank. Though O.N.I. didn't have such a pleasant sounding job description.

She shot him a crooked smirk. "My mistake." That got a nod from her. She probably would have listened attentively to the long version as well, but since he gave the short one. "Sounds like a very useful agency. I haven't heard of anything quite like it back in my homeworld."

"Do you think they'll allow you to claim expenses?" Haha. So funny ur jokez Kelly.

Its a bit more of a sense of humor than he's seen from the Chief, at least. The corner of his mouth did turn up into a grin at it.

"They better, especially since I'll need to pick up a whole new wardrobe." Leon pulled a bit at the plantsuit.

"I can't say that this is my style."

Kelly was always the funny one in the family. The other Spartans were mostly broody and stoic. None of that stuff for her.

"What, you don't keep spare clothes at home?" She's just teasing you, Leon.

"I doubt it anyone's style, really. Though it looks good enough on some."

There was a brief moment where Leon wasn't sure if Kelly was flirting with him or not. He then figured 'not' considering she said "looks good on some," not necessarily on him. Though, at least now he wouldn't have to get into the whole thing of whether or not he should flirt with her.

"I can't say I enjoy wearing clothes that have their own pulse, any way you slice it."

Kelly's really pretty oblivious to these things, Leon. A suppressed sexual drive will do that to a girl. And really, the way she was raised? It's just not something she'd notice. Sorry!

"Oh I don't know. It's a little comforting once in awhile."

"How so?"

Granted, the last time he had something living attached to himself, he nearly choked someone he knew to death. Still, pants that had their own pulse were kinda creepy.

"The rhythm of a pulse is constant. While it might be weird to have clothes that pulse, a steady rhythm tends to soothe on at least a subconscious level."

Kelly's just likes these sorts of things. Besides, after almost getting exploded to death? A pulsing plantsuit was nothing.

"I guess I'm the exact opposite. I find it completely unsettling. Like a constant reminder of the situation we're stuck in."

Leon has nearly been exploded to death, nearly had a parasite explode out of his neck, and a million other strange things. This was still creeping him out in so many ways.

"I don't think about the situation too much. Just complete the mission, then the next, and the next. Whatever happens happens." Yeah Leon they still have existentialists in the 26th century.

They should totally compare scars Ala Lethal Weapon 3. Except, minus the having sex at the end part.

Well that sucks, because Leon would totally be down for the having sex at the end part. Stacy and her tentacles be damned.

"Doesn't seem like a terribly full way to live." Though, granted, even he's ended up thinking about life in those terms every now and again.

Kelly would probably not care so much. But one; sexual drive suppressed. Two; she's never done it before. And three; she might break him. So you probably don't want to try, Leon. You might die. :D

"It's not a terribly full life either way." It's probably thinking like that that's kept Kelly alive all these years.

He always did go for the wrong type of woman. Though, frankly, he's had far worse things try to break him in a half. He's still in one piece. But it would be horribly messed up if what succeeded in killing was the orgasm of a Spartan woman.

"Depends on the choices you make."

Yes it would be far too messed up. Assuming he even got her to that point. But that's irrelevant anyway. >_>

"Some choices get made for you."

True. It's not like they're going to do it. Which would pretty much be the story of his love life, when you get down to it.

"Not all of them. If they were, there really wouldn't be much of a point to living. Would there?"
