It was strange what a coma could do to you. Put you out cold for a certain expanse of time, leaving you to wake up with the most curious feeling that things have passed you by and left you to stumble and figure out for yourself just what has happened. And Ben, while wonderful and incredibly helpful on helping her fill in the blanks on what she'd heard, could only go so far in helping Nura understand things.
The same could be said about the med bay.
Which was why Nura had left immediately that morning.
Now, she was in the hangar, inside the Calnus, with the diagnostic try open in her lap as she sat in the Captain's seat, pouring over the contents. The coma had robbed her of the time she needed to properly study the diagnostic tray. She was sure that Reimi wouldn't test her right after she learned Nura had woken, but still...
"Let's see..." She ran her index finger down the page, eyes going back and forth and she read on and on. "The start-up button would be about..." she raised her other hand's finger above the control panel in front of her. "...here." She pressed her finger down, not realizing that she’d pressed all the way down on the button, activating it.
She turned a page. "And..." Beneath her feet, the ship started to hum. The bit of darkness she was bathed in, excluding the lamp above her, disappeared as a wash of light from above filled the ship. Nura looked up from the book. Her eyes went immediately to the screen, which was now lit, with the readings filing through, telling her that take-off was sound.
"I’m in trouble."

As she berated herself and continued flipping pages, she'd look up now and then to check the readings, and see just how badly she was in trouble. On the tenth look up, she saw through the window that there was someone else in the hangar. Too bad she was too busy trying to learn how to shut off the ship to give a wave or a greeting of some kind.
She leaned forward over the panel. "This one?" she pressed a button, that only caused a brief sound to be made from the ship. She stumbled back into the chair.

But when he got inside, he saw a good mess near the Calnus--something that looked like trouble--and Nura nearby.
Fear surged inside him, and he had to fight off the urges to either panic or immediately shift to his alien form as he called out, "Are you okay?"

While she did this, she tapped the window with her palm, hoping that Devlin would see that she was all right by her doing that.

"Sprock."
The Calnus was starting to do some more humming.

Devlin managed to faintly hear Nura's curse and knew that nobody said, "Sprock," without meaning it. And with a ship humming like it might have been starting up...
He started to shift forms before halting quickly. No, he wasn't going to use those powers around Nura. Not if he might hurt her again. Instead, he pulled his hoverboard out from where it had been strapped on his back and started it up, rising to meet the cockpit. Once he could see her, he shot her a fearful look. Did she need help?

The screen in front of her went dark, with a brief screen reappearing, before it went to a type of menu of sorts. She relaxed back into the Captain's chair, a hand to her forehead.
When she looked back out into the window, she saw Devlin hovering right there. She raised a finger, mouthing the words "one minute", before she flipped a button that completely powered down the Calnus, and then she disappeared from the cockpit that was now bathed in darkness.

Devlin was still hovering next to the cockpit, giving it a look that pretty much said, "Who let the crazy lady try to fly a plane?"
"Nura?" he asked.

"Nura? What's going on?"
It didn't seem like she was hurt, at least.

When she glanced up one, two...three times to check the readings on the screen, she saw Jeka out in the hangar. A curse escaped her. "Sprock!" Now she was in even more trouble.

< Do you need help? > she asked over the comm rings.

The question over the comm rings surprised her a tad, and she let out another curse. < I'm fine, thanks. > she said. But really, wasn't it obvious that she was not fine?
no subject
Riiiiiight.

Anything to keep away another lecture by someone older than her, and, as much as it pains her to admit it, someone who is wiser than her.

< Do recall that I am a mentalist, Nura, > she replied with a touch of reproach. < You're worried. Let me sprocking help. >

Until she found it a few seconds later. She quickly pressed a sequence a buttons listed, a feeling of great relief shooting through her body when she heard the engines shut down. The lights above her started to dim considerably. She slumped back into the chair, letting out a sigh.
Turning back to the comm ring, she said, < See? Completely fine. > By a margin.

She grinned a little. "Time for a little Eternal Sphere 101. Wanna come down the hall to the holoroom?"
