It was...brutal.
Ruffnut and her brother had often imagined violent brutal battles, blood and screams filling the air as they, the mighty Thorston twins.
But after watching the "Punishment"...Ruffnut was lost.
Somehow her feet led her back to the Sensoriums where the isle of Berk was waiting for her.
Familiar paths wound through the town to the fields. Sheep grazed mindlessly as she flopped down under a tree.
"What's your problem?" the simulation of her brother peered down at her with his crooked smile. A mane of hair fell about him blocking out the moonlight. The stars shimmered above him in a perfectly annoying fashion.
"Shut up." She responded with a halfhearted punch to his face.
"That was pathetic." He laughed stumbling back, "What's wrong? Baby gonna cry?"
Ruffnut could barely muster up the energy to kick him in the knee sending him tumbling down the hill, "I'm hurt! I am badly hurt." He wailed.

And Mindy's opinion was pretty viking like as well.
"Alright so where do we start? Do we talk to the ship? Can't she hear like, everything we're saying anyway?"
no subject
Because Zetta can only go so long without his life sucking.
The minion picked him up as he glared daggers at the girls, DARING them to mention what had just happened. "Me, I already proclaimed open defiance against the ship. That doesn't scare me. Most everyone is going to either hide and pretend or claim it's okay, though. Right now all we can really do is try to make people see that it's bullcrap, and that they CAN'T hide or pretend. If we get enough people willing to make some noise about it, maybe we can start getting some weight behind it. The ship changed one policy when people got uppity about it, maybe this can be one too."

"Defiance depends. I've heard a lot of these babbling idiots; Stacy apparently never did anything like this before: matter of fact, they probably never feared her until today. All of the complaints were bitching abut being here and how Stacy was horrible. Well now it turns out they have something new to be scared about, and not a moment too soon: the lax was starting to get to me."
But the thought of weight behind talking sounded like work. "You think we should organize and get into politics? In that case we might as well be on the Council or whatever it is."

But at the same time beating up the ship seemed somehow, counter productive. Not that Ruffnut would ever use such big words.
"Back home the village leader would deal with stuff like this if the villagers were upset. Maybe the council and leader already have something in mind?"
An unusually logical thought from the smash and grab girl.

Truthfully, Hit Girl had little reason to trust anyone.
"I say if we want answers, we look for them. We don't wait for anyone else."

He looked at both the girls with a grin (and a moment to wonder why he constantly seemed to be surrounded by adolescent girls). "Don't stick your necks out. Yes, I know you're both pretty hardcore, so don't go arguing that I don't know that. Fact is, I'm the strongest being in existence and my soul is trapped in a pretty much invincible book, so if the ships start deciding to Punishmentify dissenters, I can handle it a hell of a lot better than you two. Keep fighting the good fight, but you do it quiet and leave the making-a-target-out-of-himself to me. 'Kay?"

She managed a smile. "Kinda protective for an overlord. Must happen when you have a student. Trust me, I know."

Zetta glared and huffed and generally tried to look evil and demonlike for a moment before he completely lost his train of
evilthought."Oh yeah, that reminds me, I have something for you, since you're kickin' ass at the lightning thing," Zetta said.
Then he eyed Hit Girl. "You could do with a little boost as well. Not that you don't handle your gun damn well, but you could do with a better gun."

Coincidentally, she knew full well that she couldn't go around killing people, even if she wanted to.
Hit Girl look intrigued. "Is that right? You have one in mind?"
Oh good, they're in the Sensorium. Hit Girl knew the thug was coming in back of her, and waited until the last possible moment, when she heard him about to remove his gun for his holster. Hit Girl's hand went to her own in a flash, and before he could get it to her level she'd fired two shots right between the eyes, and he went down.
"THAT is a gun," Hit girl said, re holstering the glock. "A bullet looks small, but it causes pretty massive damage."

As Hit Girl demonstrated weaponry to his Apprentice, the Overlord Invited a pair of his minions to the field. He took a moment to have a few quiet words with the second while the first offered Ruffnut a small, strap-to-the-forearm buckler.
"I got the feeling shields are traditional for you," Zetta said by word of explanation. "It's not a honkin' big tower shield, I wanted something that wouldn't cut down on your movement and punching and stuff, but it's damn good material. Won't cut, burn, melt, freeze, dissolve... you get the picture."
The second minion then turned to offer her a large pistol that looked half futuristic, half pure evil. "Wildcat Model 22," Zetta said. "Damn accurate, lots of recoil comp. I wouldn't recommend it over your usual model for stuff that a normal bullet takes down, 'cuz it can be kind of slow, but against a target that's large, armored, or has a lot of HP, it ought to do well."
He's evil! EVIL DAMN IT! THIS MEANS NOTHING.

That only got worse (or better?) When she saw her new toy. It was true in dragon training shields were the first most important tool to get used to, even more so then a sword or spear. "Coooooool!" She began strapping on the buckler and pushing electric energy through it making it crackle and glow hotly.
"way cool!" She marveled.

"Thanks," she muttered, looking appreciative. "It's really nice!"

This makes sense to him.

Before he could answer she lunged forward slamming the buckler into her target making it shatter in a beautiful shower of splinters.

"He's saying there's no point in you getting stronger if your equipment is crap," Hit Girl replied, pulling the gun out, and imagining several hulking characters coming toward her. She reared back and BANG! they were blown several feet. A pretty scary smile came to her face.
"Nice."

And her head will explode.
"You guys are good minions," he said, pleased.

Lighting up the disc with lightning Ruffnut hurled it like a Frisbee. It flee true and caught the first of the demons in the head exploding in a shower of sparks sending it stumbling back into the others.
With an unsteady dangerous laugh Ruffnut scrambled to pick it up.

Still, this guy knew what he was talking about, and he got her a kick ass gun? Maybe being a minion or whatever wasn't such a bad thing.
She nodded at Ruffnut's throw, then an idea came.
"Hey viking girl, wanna spar?"
no subject
"I'm Zetta," he said, almost absently. "My minions are stronger than final bosses."
