It was...brutal.
Ruffnut and her brother had often imagined violent brutal battles, blood and screams filling the air as they, the mighty Thorston twins.
But after watching the "Punishment"...Ruffnut was lost.
Somehow her feet led her back to the Sensoriums where the isle of Berk was waiting for her.
Familiar paths wound through the town to the fields. Sheep grazed mindlessly as she flopped down under a tree.
"What's your problem?" the simulation of her brother peered down at her with his crooked smile. A mane of hair fell about him blocking out the moonlight. The stars shimmered above him in a perfectly annoying fashion.
"Shut up." She responded with a halfhearted punch to his face.
"That was pathetic." He laughed stumbling back, "What's wrong? Baby gonna cry?"
Ruffnut could barely muster up the energy to kick him in the knee sending him tumbling down the hill, "I'm hurt! I am badly hurt." He wailed.

Damn, he wished he had his body back.
Still, after he stepped in and was not immediately destroyed by a convenient
holodecksensorium "malfunction", he proceeded through quietly, minion carrying him to his apprentice's tree."Your mana power is strong enough to track now, in here," he said. "If that's any comfort."

Her own mortality came to mind far enough, thinking about it after this was just a torture all its own, so she jumped into the Sensorium hoping for a little peace. Berk seemed exactly like this: relaxed, rugged, even a little menacing in some parts. When she located people: one that looked like a viking(!) and one that was clearly Overlord Zetta, she waved a hand.
"Yo," she called to them, and finally sat down. "Bad vibes on the ship now, huh?"

His minion gave an absent wave to Hit Girl.

She shook her head. "Doubt anyone's gonna cause enough trouble to earn another mindfuck like that, but it definitely brings you down to earth about thins. Gotta wonder what the reaction is gonna be for the rest of the rabble."

"That's probably what she wanted right? Show us all "This is what happens if you don't play nice." made an example out of...whoever that was." She pushed her helmet back rubbing her forehead, "Never seen someone's insides before." Her hand moved down to her stomach and prodded at it, "Guess under the skin we're all that squishy." Which was her way of saying "Mortal and helpless in the eyes of the all seeing computer overlord."
"Some of us squishier then others." Her simulated brother returned at her side for a cheap unfunny shot about her weight only to be backhanded off his feet almost casually by Ruffnut.

"But you know what? Playing nice had nothing to do with it. I could call you both... well, stuff I'm not gonna call you, but I could. I could go around bullying everyone I want, who'd stop me? All we got taught is that she'll torture you if you don't play by her rules. And I don't take well to threats."

He hadn't needed eyes that worked to know something utterly, mercifully ruthless had been done. The pain had been heard and to an extent, literally felt. Such is the curse of what I am. The thought had raced through his head several times as a conflict had begun.
This Human Female had hurt his Bonded. She'd threatened him too but that easily had been water off a duck's back. She had hurt his Bonded.
At the door to a Sensorium chamber, Renne finds himself standing still, listening to a simulation already going on. On one hand, part of him can't forgive harm to his Bonded. On the other, he too, had known torture. Had it been called for here?
Had it been logical?

"Some viking you are. A little mutilation and you're all freaked out! Come on I bet she had it coming to her anyway."
"Get outta my face." She grabbed him by the face and shoved him hard sending him tumbling back down the hill once more. Her mind just loved to rebel against her with her simulated brother who called out, "Chicken!"

His tone comes out softened and low-voiced. Edged with uncertainty, the conflict still wages in his mind. Turning to lean his back against the Sensorium door frame (or whatever's within arm's reach), his ears flick downward. This hadn't been simply a battlefield and as far as he'd known, this hadn't been...
She had hurt his Bonded.

"What'd he say?" Simulation Tuffnut asked Ruffnut not taking his eyes off Renne.
"He said you're an idiot and shut up." Ruffnut improperly translated going back to staring at the stars.

"C-lose."
Hell, that'd be a stupid question. Of course no one's 'all right'. Not after that. Still, the healer's urge in him is intense, instinctive. Primeval.
Carefully, the anomaly squares off from his leaning-spot to try and navigate across the simulation floor toward the stranger's voice.
"Do...Rrrr-enne wahn-t hell-p. Ma-ke bet-terrr."
no subject
"Don't make me go all god power on you!" She shot back and to enhance her warning she made the electricity she was learning to control crackle around her fist.
"You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn!" Her simulation brother called and this time when she shot back she actually sent a ball of energy at him catching him in the helmet making it spin on his head sparking and smoking.
"Lucky shot!" He coughed sending out a cloud of smoke.
no subject
Say what? Yeah, he's not afraid of telling a Viking to shut up. For a moment, a flash of memory passes his expression. Zonker. The Inne. but he shakes it off -- Now's not the time for that.
"Yeu...Yeu did goo-d."
That time, he's referring to the crackling shot he'd heard.

But at the moment she couldn't shake off this uncomfortable feeling in the pit of her stomach. What was it that was wrong with her that she felt this way?
(( Pardon the slow. Transportation's here.))
Not a problem :)

...finally I actually see a post of yours in time to tag it. XD
He had made his way to the Observation deck and watched Stacy's punishment to the brash blond they called Big Zero. He didn't know the woman, but that was hardly to say he approved of the treatment. Humans weren't really meant to stand up to that. And most of the rest of them had been acting strangely since the incident. The dragon assumed Ruffnut was no different.
So he circled around her tree, approaching from behind, and made a friendly sort of chirping sound to announce his presence.
Lucky me! 8D
But that quickly washed away and she smiled faintly, "Sup?" She greeted the dragon informally and waved with her fingertips.
:D♥

Summoned by her thought her own Hideous Zippleback appeared some ways away with Tuffnut playing fetch and fighting over the Tree branch. Both heads had a bite on the branch and weren't letting go.

Turning his head to watch, Toothless raised the muscles above his eyes that functioned like eyebrows, lowering his hind quarters to the ground in a sit, and curled his tail around himself, gurgling in an amused way. Zipplebacks were such comical dragons, the way they fought with themselves.

it's like if Toothless had a popcorn.gif! also brb errands.
Oh if only I had any artistic talent I would doodle a Toothless popcorn avatar X3
I might do it myself, except fff what is having free time when you work retail in November.
