Last Straw
She went straight to the Sensoriums. Her feelings were all over the place, and she had to get away from people right now. She remembered all too well what happened to Alex when he lost Luna: she knew she had to find a way to take her aggression out. There was pain and self loathing and unspeakable things she was sorting through, but right now it was nothing but anger she was feeding on. She closed her eyes when she entered, concentrating on the enemies she;s fought while she'd been on the ship.
The Terminators. The T-Rex. The Nightmare King's monster minions. The traps Hal had laid for them. They came one at a time but Katara was ready, steeling herself to calmly maneuver out of the traps, to find a way to take down the terminator most efficiently, and those alone took more than a few hours. It was when she got to the nightmare King's minions, however, that Katara stopped being cautious. Now she ripped into them, stabbing at them with ice shards and freezing them on the spot before blowing through them, and slowly her determined face gave away to that of rage. As she started to remember their fights, their hugs, their talks, she switched to the Bene Gesserit fighting style, her hits were starting to get more serious, leaving many injured in her wake, though she received a few cuts herself. When she was done an hour later, it faded, all of it, and she was left in water, where she had heard Sokka once talk to Toph about how she'd been like a mother to her, and she couldn't stand it anymore. She let out a scream, primal and pained.
"WHY?! WHY BRING HIM HERE JUST TO TAKE HIM AWAY?! ALL THIS TIME, JUST TO TAKE HIM AND NOT HAVE AANG HERE AND MAKE ZUKO FORGET WHAT WE ALL DID?? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?"
And she dissolved into tears here, the sun sinking into the clouds and leaving a dark, lonely pond.

Oh, drat. Out of ammo! Putting on a mock-display, the oddity appears to turn and run. Alas, he's getting a good whoopin' via a rain of pillows.

"Payback time!" he calls to his favorite imp with a swing of a pillow.

And Renne still gets another one right after Billy. Billy just gets hit first for thinking she would let him do what he liked. He'd better consider them BOTH enemies.

Whomp-fluff. Hi, pillow. Meet a Renne. Giggling until he's nearly breathless (even with that huge lung of his), he's got another pillow coming your way, Katara. And then you too, Billy.
"Heee-heee-heeee! Rrrr-enne ge-t yeu!"

He tried to go after Katara with a swipe---key word, tried. He'd just hesitated to chase her because he stood no chance and knew it.

She just barely catches Billy's pillow before trying to rebound it back at him and the two of them falling onto a heap, Katara laughing too hard to attack again.

And he's not far behind. One last pillow onslaught at the two, then Renne's crawling toward them. However, he's soon overcome with laughter that he ends up adding to the person-pile.
He can't help but let the tsunami of feeling out, so he Transcends, at least for a short while, then moves to embrace the two Humans while in this eerie/warm/not-solid yet natural state.

Hey, they're in a heap on the floor! And her cracking up gets him to join in the laughter, forgetting about the still-on-the-sly Renne for a moment.
Oh, there he is, in that Transcended form and wrapping his warmth around them once again.
"Okay, so I suppose it's a draw," he whispers, that laughter fading into a smile.

"Thank you, both of you," she said, holding them close. "I'm sad Sokka is gone, but I'm not unhappy to be on this ship. All of the people I've met, the things I've done: you made me realize I shouldn't take that for granted."
She smiled. "If you ever need guidance or help, never be afraid to ask."

Two living people in this Multiverse know his inner, true name.

"That's how I feel. I miss my friends, but without everything that's happened I'd never have met you."
And that's fine by him, he thinks with contentment. But for now he'll watch Katara's reaction to the song.

For this situation, strangely enough, no explanation was needed. She could feel the warmth of trust and love coming from Renne, and at the same tome began to see it had a meaning, a message that only a few people might ever know. It was a situation where no words needed to be exchanged, just the exchange of feelings.
Hers rose like a pink blooming flower, opening to her friends, tendrils slowly encircling them. There was a look of serenity on her face, nothing but respect and love echoing from her body and mind in response.
Renne had no fear of ever having Katara hurt him, the same with Billy.

Within, the newest tree sprouts another branch. He'd learned long ago to associate people with thinsgs, sensations, to pinpoint who was whome.
Katara brings to mind a stilled lake and sakura blossoms. Billy? A deep, roaring sea and the rarest of a blue lotus. It is these two that he reaches out to meet.

There's no room for anything but trust and love here, and that's just fine by him.
