Thinking with -- OW, THAT WAS AN ARROW.

Nehaalista stood back and admired her handiwork. Warsong Gulch lay spread out before her, each piece carefully and slowly laid in from memory. She was a little hazy where exactly one side of the gulch turned into the Barrens, but that was neither here nor there. The fact was it was big enough to move in, and that was all that mattered.

In addition to the usual look of the Gulch, Nehaalista had added a spectators' area to the north, nested securely in the branches of one of the incredibly tall trees that lined the area. So long as no one decided to knock the spectators over into the woods, Nehaalista was satisfied.

She crossed her arms and looked around one last time before nodding to herself.

((OOC: Welcome! This is a chance to play Capture the Flag as our Warcraft Denizens are used to playing it. It is permissible to post! No, guys, this does not go towards your Silverwing Sentinel or Warsong Outriders' reputation. OOC Plotting-planning-lololols are here)

Cowabunga waited until he was sure enough time had passed for Cinque to get to the entrance. Once he felt it was time, he ran through the entrance, shouting the battlecry of suicidal chargers everywhere.

Aibghalien had dropped a couple of buffs on himself as he floated up into position in the middle of the flag room. Then, with every intent to take advantage of the simulated weapons of this exercise, he drew forth one of his staffs.

Conveniently, a target decided to offer itself just then. Let's see how this 'graveyard' thing worked.

Aibghalien pointed the staff in the direction of the shouts, and as soon as he saw the whites of his eyes (or possibly horns) -- cone of cold! (Or at least the simulated, not-actually-murdering-the-Tauren sensorium version, anyway.)

Oh, the wizardly elf had gotten there first. Well, that was probably for the best.

May barely had time to throw up a shield--not that she really was concerned Aibghalien's magic might hurt her, but safety first, right?

She'd wait to see just what effect the elf's cast had had before she'd do anything else.

Cowabunga's hand slammed into his belt, thankfully activating the forcefield as he ran through the cone. He cocked his rifle, and fired, launching a flare straight towards the flag.

It was always amusing when they gave themselves away. Choline slowly crept out of the alcove, missing the flare by mere metres. Still invisible, she circled behind the tauren, her eyes still scanning.

They didn't come alone. They never came alone.

She sized up the situation for a moment or two longer before aiming for the back of the tauren's head. This move would subdue him, but not permanently.

As the group dealt with Cowabunga, Cinque made her move. She slipped three of her knives up her sleeve to free one hand, and dashed forward. She was almost to the flag's alcove, but didn't make a move to grab it just yet; she had been told to wait until they were sure there were no stealthed enemies around, and while the flare hadn't revealed anyone, her senses told her it might not have done the job.

So for now, she stayed in the shadows, keeping her eye on the battle and her ears open for any more approaching enemies.

Popping the move on Cowabunga brought Choline quite readily out of stealth.

Now there's at least one visible target in the room.

WHile Cowabunga was subdued, there was the little issue of Humar, who leaped out of Prowl and swiped at the rogue, though making sure to cause only simulated damage with his attacks.

Cowabunga snapped out of the haze, firing a frost trap at Aibghalien, before swapping targets quickly and firing an explosive bullet at Maydril.

Aibghalien aimed, sighted along the staff, then let out a yelp as the trap shot towards him in midair. He turned into a giant ice cube just floating there -- just as the staff spit out an amber ball of energy that erupted into a massive midair fireball, its center placed with all the care of a practiced master wizard so its fringes would catch the tauren and his friend, but spare the rogue.

"They're gonna grab," Choline hissed into her Omnicomm, which she'd strapped to her shoulder so as to be within easy reach. She grunted slightly as she dodged swipe after swipe, while Choline's not-daggers and not-poisons tried to land a hit.

"Looks like - oof - we've got - damn cat! - a hunter. Probably more on their way in. Keep that in mind."

Lucky for her, Maydril was in armor. This meant that despite the explosion, she'd be singed, but not down for the count. Yet.

That fireball, on the other hand, had her spitting out a shield invocation. Friendly fire wasn't, despite the wizard's best intentions!
