(no subject)

It didn't take long for Jayne to acquaint himself with the Drunken Dragon. No in fact from the moment Kaylee told him about it, fate conspired to move him there as swiftly as possible.

Because a drunk Jayne, was a tolerable Jayne...usually.

Drinking deep from his beer he hummed a little song under his breath that would be familiar to the crew of Serenity but likely no one else. In his intoxicated state he even mumbled a few of the words as he scanned the area to see who was about.

"The hero of canton the man they call...meeeeee."

"You give me far too much credit, Kaylee," Kang shook his head, smiling. He turned to Jayne, "She has been. As a whole, we don't have much to call our own on Stacy besides knowledge or stories. Don't worry, she hasn't told me anything too embarrassing about you or the other members of her crew."

"Not nearly enough," she replied to Kang, picking up the mugs to deliver to one of the tables. As she walked from behind the bar, she laughed back at Jayne. "Naw, I just figured you'd wanna tell the really good ones yourself once you got here."

Kang snorted, fetching himself a tankard and leaning his forearms on the bar, "I'm not the only one that's doing things around this ship to help. You underestimate how useful you are."

Without Kaylee around, the ship would be a much gloomier place.

"I hear you're a mercenary. You've probably got some good ones to share."

"Oh, I've got a pretty decent idea of how useful I am," Kaylee promised, handing the beers over to a couple patrons. "No use in paradin' it, though."

Back behind the bar, Kaylee filled her own mug. "More than you might think he does, and then you gotta be careful on which ones you take serious." She's only half-teasing.
