Finding the Child Within [OPEN]
With the City restored and things starting to return to normal, Sasami started to return to her home. However, coming to a stop nearby, she let her mind wander through a few things. As she did, she realized something:
"...I haven't been a kid at all..."
Sitting on a branch and laying back on it, Sasami thought back to everything she'd done - cooking, cleaning, taking care of people, trying to be some sort of hero. In all of her wants and wishes, the only thing she never done was just be a kid again. She wasn't a princess anymore. It was highly unlikely anyone she knew from her world would ever show up and as it stood, she had very little friends here.
She needed to loosen up, let her hair down a bit...
...with that line of thinking, Sasami reached up, undoing her pigtails, letting her hair fall as she dropped her beads to the wayside. It was time for a change.

"Hey," she said, a few feet away. "What are you doing?"
no subject
"Oh, hi!" she said, waving. "Oh... just thinking. Trying to start somewhere."
no subject
"Trying to start what?" She asked. "I'm pretty new: don't know all the ins and out of this fucker."
no subject
She just glared at her (which looked more adorable than intimidating) and said "If you're going to use that language, then I'm not going to say anything else."
no subject
She scoffed. "Well don't mind me, princess prude. I have an alien species I have to plan on fighting. If you have any useful information for me, I'd want it, but if you're going to get on me over words, you can't be that useful."
no subject
"Well, excuse me for at least having some sort of dignity around here. I don't know how things were in your world, but where I was from, kids don't curse like they're adults!" Sasami said. Truth be told, she was trying to keep her emotions in check - those first few things she said hurt!
no subject
She shook her head. "I can tell you: it won't mean a damn thing. I've been around this dump, and I know for sure everyone is different. Take a look at some of these so-called adults, and see if they know what they're talking about. You wanna know why I curse like an adult? Think about it: if you think its bad here imagine what happens when justice is nothing but a stupid little idea in the head of weak people. I can tell you: you grow your ass up pretty quickly."
no subject
Sasami bit her lip a bit, trying her best not to cry and what the girl was saying. "W-Well... I-I don't care!" she shouted. "You think you're grown up just because of what you've been through? Y-You're not! You're just some... some... bully!"
no subject
"Grown up enough to know you're just scared," she said, scoffing. "Or maybe you just expect all of us younger children to be on the same page or something. If that's what I'm supposed to be like, you can have it. Bully? I didn't take your world or bring you here. Let's face it: I'm tough and you never met someone my age that way. Well understand something: you don't get as tough as me, you're just making yourself a pathetic victim, whether its to the lies they'll tell you or the alien that'll kill you. Man, I really don't GET the attitude of this ship! Does everyone WANT to die?"
no subject
"No... no, they don't. But... but, they're so used to how they act, they refused to change..." Sasami said. "I... I don't know anymore...
no subject
"Listen you," Hit girl said, "if you learn anything from the ship, its this: no one can be trusted a hundred percent unless you know for sure the situation. Since you can't EVER know that, guess what? You always have to have a plan B. I can already tell that these adults have been trying to assure these kids that if they just play nice and pretend everything's normal, they'll be ok. So you tell me: you really think that'll save you when the Ohm are fucking everything up? I don't."
no subject
"I... I see..." she said, just a bit shaken up. "No... no, I don't think it would, I..." she let out a sigh.
no subject
She took a good luck at the girl. "What do you do on the ship?"

Also? She totally needed to meet Batman and Superman, because seriously? That was awesome and impossible all at the same time.
"So why are you all sad about that? Is he making you do things you don't wanna, or something?"
no subject
Once settled, he offered a smile in Sasami's direction. "May I trouble you for a moment of your time?"
no subject
"Is there something I could help with?"

She looked up in thought. "There's also the Jedi Temple. You can't miss that, either, because there's a bright pink bus usually parked by it. That's the W.I.T.C.H. Bus!"

"Do you stay in the royal palace of your world?" he asked Sasami. "It seems I will be spending a large amount of time here, as --" He bit back the use of the courtesy title of 'Lady' -- "Nanoha, the head of the magic department, has allowed me space for a laboratory in the Jedi temple."
no subject
"Yes, I do. I have a few friends to either come to visit or do stay with me. If you wish, I have plenty of room here, so you're more than welcome to stay as well!" she said.

Look, there was Starfire floating down! She carried a bag full of who-knows-what in her arms, looking puzzled at her roommate's behavior.
"Do you require a visit to the hair styling devices?" Those strange pods near the bathrooms had been threatening at first, but her hair had escaped unscathed.
no subject
"Nuh-uh. Just... wanted to let my hair down." she said. Though, now she was wondering about what she was talking about 'Hair styling devices'. "I've been doing some thinking, too."
no subject
Setting her items down, Starfire moved to float-sit beside her friend.

If Starfire understood her friend correctly, that was quite a problem indeed. She'd have to do something about it---but what? As she waited for an answer, Star tried to think back on her own childhood. Would Sasami like those games?
no subject
It was a bit of a dilemma for her.
no subject
"Why are the others difficult to get along with?"
She was beginning to get an idea, but her curiosities wondered if Sasami wanted to talk first.

Starfire hadn't known this. Sasami would have represented them well, no doubt. "I am sorry. Given the chance, I would have voted for you. But you do not dwell on your loss. You continue to assist any way you can---surely they will not dwell on it either?"
She wondered. "Then perhaps you should help out in a way that is stimulating. Would you like to cook with me?"
no subject
Listening to Starfire's idea, she looked over to her friend, a small smile on her face. "Would it be okay?"
no subject
Could they cook? "Yes, of course! Do you have a favorite food?"
no subject

Any additions to the basic formula of 'slop and more slop' would be welcomed, but beware Starfire's taste buds.

"I will find some items---will you also search?"
Starfire was about ready to race off in pursuit of food. Armfuls and armfuls of it.
no subject
She blushed at the thought of asking the question. It felt odd actually asking that.

Starfire enjoyed fixing hair. As she slipped behind Sasami and began carefully parting her hair, she briefly remembered that Raven had never allowed her to do this. And that suited them, but it was nice to have a female friend who would allow it.
Humming happily, she finished with Sasami's hair after a few minutes. "Is that all right?"
no subject
"Yes, that's wonderful!" she said, beaming brightly. "Now, that that's done, let's get cooking!"
no subject
"What do you wish to bake? Cakes? Pies? Puddings?"
no subject
"Hello Sasami!" she called, waving to attract the younger princess' attention.
