The disease spread through the City, and through the City, to the crew. Those who came in contact with the invisible killer would slowly begin to exhibit many of the symptoms of a common flu: nausea, chills, and fever.
But they would not feel lethargic. No, quite the opposite. Their energy and their activity would only increase. And now, so would their aggression and pent-up rage...

"I don't think that's a good idea," the Chief said, instead stabilizing his grip on Jamie and moving to snag both arms so he stood less risk of trying to pull too hard and hurting himself. He had no intention of letting him go, not now that he knew more about the situation.
To the other two, he said, "We just got warning from Stacy that a bio weapon leaked. A pathogen. Makes people go crazy. We didn't have any kind of confirmation about whether anyone caught it. I think this is that."
"As for you," he said to Jamie, "We're going to medical. Either you can walk, or I'm carrying you."
He didn't think this was going to go the easy way, but trying mattered.
