It was night on the ship - or at least as close to night as the ship ever got.

But while most of the crew slept, something had been released from within the ship. Something invisible, something undetectable, and something very, very dangerous.

If you passed through parts of the City, you might start to feel a little sick...

Komali was doing fine! Great, in fact! His wings had never felt lighter, his control steadier, his— whoops, hahaha! He giggles helplessly as he narrowly missed a building and recovered. Oooh, he was so sly, so cool, did you see that recovery? Did you see it?

Seems like someone saw it, anyways. The way Ruffnut scrambled below him like an anxious hen, trying to....to catch him?

He didn't need catching!

He was fine!

He was fine, dammit! Why didn't anyone ever believe him?!

Komali decided that if the girl wanted to catch him, he's let, her, as heavily and painfully as possible. That would show her.

What in the name of all that was in the skies and stars was this thing she was under anyway? It looked like a giant bird of sorts but it had hair! Birds weren't hairy that'd just be...

...oh crap it's falling! Ruffnut tripped and stumbled herself as she tried to position herself to catch it safely.

Komali landed with a whumph, right in Ruffnut's arms, then kicked out with both feet to get free.

"Go away, I was fine until you showed up!"

Someone got up on the wrong side of the nest.

Ruffnut's only response was an "OOF!" As the wind was knocked from her and she dropped the Rito promptly.

Clutching her stomach she glared, her eyes blazing with hellfire and fury, "What's your problem?" She wheezed as she tried to fill her lungs again.

That one gave Komali a little pause— but only a little one.

"YOU ARE!" he blurted, abruptly, fists clenched.

Ruffnut's eyes blazed with the fury born of pain and confusion, she didn't understand why this kid was in such a foul mood (Hee hee, bird pun)but she wasn't gonna let him just run the show.

Getting into a defensive stance she slapped her chest in a taunt, "Come on then shrimp, do something crazy!"

Without an ounce of hesitation, Komali leapt at Ruffnut, screeching angrily, scratching and trying to bite. Crazy is the word for it.

Ruffnut roared back swinging her fist like it was a fat kid and Komali's cheek was a cake. Where she came from hitting children may have been frowned upon at times, but if the brat really deserved it her conscience was clear.
