Rein had made the announcement. While she had plenty of fabric left, read: enormous piles, she was also excited at the prospect of making outfits for everyone for this event. And also, she had made an extra note that anyone who was participating in Miss Stacy could come get something made up as well.

She was flitting around, carrying stacks of cloth and hoping the first customer would walk in.

"It's been pretty busy, between shifts and making new clothing," said Rein as she wrapped the cloth around Katara, decided on a different material and swapped it for a smoother silken material. "How about you? You seem like you've been busy."

She watched Rein, curious at how she did her work. "I can imagine!" she laughed, figuring she wasn't the only one who ran down here looking for a new costume.

"A lot of things, but I'm feeling pretty confident about things now." She smiled, thinking of all of her friends on the ship. "I think things will be a bit better now."

"That's good," said Rein. "You can always come and ask me for help too. I'm always up for assisting people."

Finding the cloth she liked, she wrapped it around Katara's frame. "How does that feel?"

"That's really good to know," Katara said, smiling. "I'm glad that there are always good people on this ship that try to help each other. It;s why I'm feeling more optimistic these days."

She shifted, thinking a minute. "A little tighter," she said. "It shouldn't be too loose."

"I can adjust it later, but this should help," said Rein as she cinched up the fabric a touch tighter. "That should do. Any more and you'd be wearing a corset."

"Thanks," Katara said smiling, even though she honestly had no idea what a corset was, or wanted to be in one if it was so tight.

"What will you be wearing to that ball?"

"Hmm, me? Let's see... Something light, blue of course... ah this!"

And Rein held up a gorgeous sundress-type of outfit, something that would be suited to a "next door girl" complete with stockings and flats. "But maybe this'll be too informal. Maybe something dressy..."

Katara looked at the dress, and while it definitely looked pretty, Katara agreed with Rein about the way it would look at a ball.

"Yes, definitely," Katara said, giving her a smile. "You read my mind. I'm hoping to go with something pretty classy, that will make people turn their heads. That would be great!"

"Yeah. I don't think I could pull off the classical look either, but maybe something from my cosplay racks will do," mused Rein. "Something that stands out, and makes a statement."

"Er, okay," Katara said, having no idea what a cosplay was, but was sure that Rein would explain what she meant. Some of these looked really good, but she wanted something that would stand out.

Noting Katara's confused expression, she grinned. "Cosplay is an outfit based on an existing design from a popular media series. Like this one!"

And Rein pulled a outfit off the rack, showing off a cute sailor seifuku (http://www.safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=453022). "This is a form of cosplay. This is from Sailor Moon."

Katara didn't really know what series Rein was talking about, but she figured it was a series of something like those shows Beastboy was having them watching. She eyed the sailor fuku with surprise.

"Well something like that wouldn't work: too much white, and its kinda skimpy. Not something you'd want to go to a ball in."

"Yeah. Now a GOWN on the other hand..." And Rein put it back on the rack as she pulled a off the shoulder white gown with pink highlights and stitching down it. It was faintly Arabic in design, but it was definitely a "princess" gown.
