Ever since exposing GLaDOS's true function, Claire was starting to remember people she'd forgotten. It was kind of weird, some things had clicked back into place immediately, but others had taken time to recall. And since she became aware of it, there was a constant feeling on the edge of her mind that she was still missing something and it was important, but she just couldn't get a grasp on it.

That, of course didn't stop her from trying. She was determined to remember what it was, even if it didn't seem like Stacy quite wanted her to. All this excess thinking left her wandering around with a slightly spaced out look, however, and she'd been more than a little distracted. So when she was interacting with the kids in her class she had to push it back, which made it harder for her to try to get a hold on it, again.

So, anyone happening to wander through hydroponics may come across Claire sitting in one of her favorite spots, back up against a tree. She's half watching Boon run around and throwing a ball for him, but for the most part she's off in her own world.

"That's why I'm down here too," Claire replied automatically, smiling a little while scooping Boon up, settling his barking. "And I am Claire. You're Chris, right?"

The last words Claire said surprised him a little bit. It was difficult but he was able to avoid a salute. From what little he knew of her, Chris knew she was a fair person. "Yes, ma'am. I was just... How did you know who I am?"

"I could ask the same of you," she smiled, tilting her head and leaning her shoulder against the closest tree.

"I tried looking my brother up, to see if I could trick Stacy into telling me if he was on board or not. Your name and picture popped up with a couple of the combinations I tried. His name's Chris, too."

Now Chris wasn't innately curious but this? This made him wish he sometimes was. He pulled out his Advent Deck from his pocket, eyed it and then gave a look over Claire. "Oh. The reason I know of you is mainly I've heard some other people mention you before. Were you... trying to remember someone that Glados erased the memory of?"

"I think so," She frowned a little, letting Boon down as he started to squirm in her arms, before straightening up again. "You too?" She had a feeling that a lot of people were going through this, right now, on top of everything else. It kinda sucked.

Chris gave an afirmative nod to Claire. "Yeah, from what little I remember her name was Selene Jones. I think that we are... were close. What about you?"

"It's good you remember her name," she replied, smiling a little, before shaking her head at his question.

"I don't even know. I remember some others who were here before, including a woman named Jean who saved my life, but..." she trailed off, looking distant for a moment, before shaking her head again. "There's someone who I know was important, but I can't remember who."
