Meet N' Greet!
It's big meeting time! Word of mouth gets everyone gathered in the Obs Deck--everyone. New, old, the entire crew is there and that makes it clear that there's close to a hundred of them, if not more.
When they've all arrived, a blue bubble pops up around them, courtesy of Blue Beetle, to block them all from Stacy's sensors. Most of the new people were given the basic rundown by Cybil or Chief when they were first released. Some of them have already joined a discussion with a the Commanding Officers and department heads. Some have had a chance to explore a bit. Some were only just recently released.

"I didn't ask to hold it. I just wanted a closer look," she says to Worf.
And when Idiot boy speaks, she turns around.
"And I wanna see it 'cause edged weapons are kinda my thing and I've never seen a sword like that before."
She turns back to Worf. "There's a guy here, Zuko, that's got these hook swords. Very well made. They look like they've got some good balance to 'em."
He won't let her touch his swords either. These people are no fun.
"I'm wondering how that's even made. I saw the warrior monks of Matihafa in the forge and how they did their metal-work and all, and it's hard doing jagged asymmetrical edges like that..."
She's not a little kid, Worf, she's a warrior. Interested in learning new warrior things.

"It is a Klingon weapon, called a mek'leth. A warrior's blade." He turns it to show the edge. "It is not easy to master, nor is it's larger cousin, the bat'leth." He pauses awkwardly for a moment.
"I do not have a bat'leth with me, I'm sorry to say."

"See, that looks much better at close-range than what I got," she says, pulling out her scythe, chain attached. "This is a hibis janzir. Kinda typical Matihafan design, but a little smaller than what they usually make. Sort of similar to a Japanese kusarigama. On the one hand, it's great for mid-range, 'cause the chains good for tangling up limbs and other weapons and even for impact damage, but I definitely need room to swing it, and it's only so-so at close range. I've been trying to find something better to have secondary for close-range."

"A worthy weapon. It must take some skill to wield properly."

"It took a year of training, but it was pretty damn intense, and I have some martial arts background beforehand, so I picked it up pretty fast. Its's all been experience since then," she says, resheathing it. "Place where I came from was a bit primitive. Had some barbarians and whatnot to take down, that were plaguing border towns, near the Wilds."

"Speak your mind, do not mutter in the corner." he returns his mek'leth to its sheathe.

"It is better to speak your mind and be direct."
