Master of the Pielements [open]
The Person: Aang, the Avatar, master of all four elements, truly an individual to be reckoned with.
The Place: The Lounge. Right now, he was in the kitchen practicing his Airbending via the highly deadly art of--
Making fruit pies. What? It took some very precise Airbending to get the fruit fluff all fluffy on top. Good practice.
And eating the fruits of his labor was, uh...exercise for his jaw, yeah. And stomach.
Okay, so he was just hankering for cake after all that time with GLaDoS. It was still good Airbending practice, though.
And he brought the rest out to be served to whoever had a hankering for confectioneries.
"Hey, do you want a piece of fruit pie?"
Come and let me bake you the pie of my people.

Aang was kinda partaking of his own desserts, too, and stuffing his face. He gestured with his fork (handy little things, he'd found, for some foods).
"But I fink dere could be bedder balans."
Hard to explain that, but he thought it.
no subject
"What do you mean by better balance?" He took another bite, waiting for an explanation.

Yeah, let's not go back to the Nightmare King.
"He just...refused, even if that might have been what had to be done. Not giving up on anyone works when you're, well...us." The Gaang. "But we're a small group of people that doesn't carry around a larger group of innocents we have to protect while fighting. He can't risk the whole for the one, especially when the whole includes the millions in the pods. And sometimes he'll have to make choices like we did on the Day of the Black Sun."
And leave behind allies--and loved ones--to face imprisonment or death, for the sake of the greater battle.

"I'm not sure I could make that decision if I was in his place. I mean, it was one thing when it was my dad and the others. We knew the Fire Nation would just take them prisoner. But now...now we're fighting an enemy that doesn't take prisoners." He hefted his ever present shotgun.
"I carry weapons more terrible and more powerful than I'd ever thought could exist..."

Aang snorted.
"And every group just needs a pessimist."
See, Sokka? Balance.
