Striking Freedom [Open]
Kira was thoroughly exhausted from the week's training with the Rogues, but rather than going to his quarters to hop into bed, he almost always went down to the hangar where his Strike Freedom stood, armor inert.
The young pilot stood there for a long while, looking up at the mobile suit in contemplation. They'd been hard at work tuning them up so that they'd be able to fight on the same level as their X-Wing counterparts and soon would be physically overhauling them to increase their output. This was what they'd have to rely on for their survival... for their strength.
He was rather lost in thought, which probably made for a perfect opportunity for someone to come along and snap him out of it.

*pounces on*
"Kira!" He'd been busy, so they hadn't seen each other in a little while.
((OOC: I am getting back into this game now that I live again, darn it!!))
*pounced on like a... lacus pounced thing!*
He turned when he heard her voice, and the corners of his mouth instantly turned upward into a smile. "Lacus...!" There was no way to be unhappy when she was around.
(ooc: Yes! :3 Lacus is yay.)
Lacus pounced-things usually turn pink, just fyi.
But... Athrun's the one with the pink Gundam, not me!
take your pink and like it, buddy! :P
Nooooo ;_; It makes me less manly
And buckles make you more manly? Just sayin'.
But ... you LIKE the buckles, Lacus :(
But of course! *cuddles*
They were probably her idea come to think of it.
pfft the buckles preceed Lacus, you know.
...she made him wear more of them.
Yeah, for the lulz!
I still think she's a secret bondage queen
*gets the whip*
Lacus "Whips 'n Chains" Clyne
*preens* And she sings, too!
The night ain't so quiet when she's around!
In more ways than one, hm~?
She sings a different song then :3
And so does he, I'd imagine!

"Stupid GLaDOS." Lowe grumbled, making his way back to the hangar. Who knew how much work the AI caused him to get backlogged in and he wasn't looking forward to it, especially since he prided himself in getting things done as fast and as efficient as possible.
However, his own thoughts were shoved aside when he spotted Kira looking at the Strike Freedom. Curiosity got the better of him and he want to approach the pilot. "Hey, something wrong?"

"Kira? You okay?" she asked, trying not to startle him.

"Ah... I'm fine. I guess I was just lost in thought."

Her gaze turns up to the Strike Freedom in front of them.
"Things are hard right now, especially with what we have to face, but we can't forget that there are others in the same boat. Everyone wants to protect this ship and the people on it. Dwelling on things won't help with that."

"That thing can't be that interesting to just stare at."

"I'm not staring at it because it's interesting," he said with a frown. "I'm ... just thinking."

He spared a quick glance around the hangar. How could anybody choose a place like this to stand around and think in?
