Back on the ship...

An army cannot function without any support! Which is exactly why what was going down on the ship was so vital to what was happening planetside. Shuttles between the two managed to bring a few of the crew back up and can be used to send supplies back down. It was a vital service in this time of crisis.

"I can try, but I'm only going to have so long until they kick Khaji and I out and retaliate somehow," Jaime says. "If we go whole hog, it should be for something important. To cover some other tactic we're pulling."

"But right now, the plan on the ground seems to be 'not die' and 'make up the rest from there'. We need something to slow down the Ohm's momentum."

Battle planning was far easier for him when he was in the field, not watching it.

"Assuming we go with more subtle distractions, targeting smaller groups of Ohm for only a few minutes at a time and and bouncing around, giving some of the ground teams a chance to take advantage, about how long until they shut you down?"

"If you can provide a distraction," Mei Ling spoke up, "I might be able to hack into the Ohm communications and maybe even cut some off from the others."

She wasn't totally confident, but she needed to at least try.

"Longer. A lot longer," says Jaime. "They might not even catch us doing it long enough to pinpoint that it's us."

He nods towards Mei Ling.

"And then it'd give the hackers time to do their stuff."

And they could still go all-in later if they needed to. That sounded like a plan.

"Go for it. Reyes, target the Ohm closest to the evac routes first, then bounce around from there."

A ping here, and a ping there, like loud blasts of static and aimless chatter. It takes a lot of concentration to do it, but it seems to be working.
