The shadier parts of town
Finally, night had fallen. Stalking some of the less... friendly parts of the town was a lone vampire. She was looking for heroin or opium- more specifically an addict. A fine needle like that would not be able to pierce her skin, and any other method was ineffective. She had to take the blood from someone that had the drug in their blood.
No, she was not an addict. That was one of the benefits of being a vampire. They did not gain addictions. Their body was too busy constantly repairing any damages and undoing any changes.
She just loved the rush of euphoria. It was something those she drank from got to experience every time she drank. Why should she not feel the same every so often?
And so she wandered among these shadier parts. Who knows who- or what she might run in to?

She said this matter of fact. "But when I finally did get her revenge, I should have faded away, and instead found myself on the ship. I don;t understand what my purpose is, being here."

She looked down at Nanashi's hands. "It's upsetting. I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing on this ship."

Nanashi nodded back to Sam, indicating that she did not mind in the least.

"The threat of the Ohm is nothing to take for granted," Alessa said. "They are the most dangerous of any enemy we would have ever faced. Even now we are being lulled into a false sense of security. So eat, the both of you...I have to kill. It is important to gather our strength."

He strode closer to Nanashi. "I have good news," he said to her quietly. "I've managed to acquire quite a bit of animal blood, enough to keep us satisfied for a while. We will still need the slop for our primary source of food, but it should keep things calm for us." Calm he said, but the scent of fresh blood was a bit overwhelming for him. His fingers twitched slightly.

Of course, after a point, each meal dropped exponentially in effectiveness. Nanashi smiled- a lot less of a crazy smile than she had shared with Alessa before, even if she felt the same way. Now there was just an audience "We can gouge ourselves on these humans. Not that I will kill another, too many deaths will bring attention. Aside from that I would like to see if this world has any company that caters to the needs of a vampire. Perhaps they buy human blood off of people, which we can buy off of them."
Nanashi turned to Sam, "Can you take blood with the right equipment?"

"I feed on chaos, death...that is why I went to this away mission. Killing random people in allies is not how I usually work. I'm in the fight, crushing, ripping, destroying the enemy. I cannot do that in secret. If you can do this on the planet, good luck to you. But I would wonder how that might sit with those security people on the ship."

He lowered his voice so that others around wouldn't hear. "So we'll have to have our meal here before we go." He glanced around, sensing out his own target. He found a young woman, clearly over 18. He hoped there wasn't anything truly heinous in her system. Her forearms were heavily tracked, but a bit old. With any luck, she'd been scared off the harder stuff into something a bit lighter. It was clear she was drunk, at least.

Nanashi held Sam's shoulder, following his gaze. She knew that Sam did not like the idea of drugs. She, on the other hand, clearly did not mind. In a flash she was beside the girl, her fangs in her neck, though not at the artery. That was not something you opened for a test sip. Covering the girl's mouth Nanashi beckoned for Sam. The only drug in her system was alcohol.
