Good news, denizens of the good ship Stacy: Zokez II had quite the night life.

There was a club a short distance from the beach that promised "the hoppingingingest night in the city" in multiple languages (the message got across, at least) and once dusk had fallen you could hear the music from blocks away. Venturing inside would show off an interior design that looked like somebody had fallen in love with the neon black light posters of Earth's 1970s, with brightly colored and oddly shaped couches, stools, tables and bars. Even the drink cups looked like they'd taken a spin in a too-hot dishwasher, all varieties of strange and squiggly shapes. Aliens of all shapes and sizes had taken up along the walls and the holographic dance floor and the good times were certainly rolling.

As was the alcohol.

"Speaking of Butterflies, shouldn't you be out there having fun instead of playing wallflower hoping for some bee to buzz by?" Beastboy asked as if he only just realized why she was over by the wall.

"Umm..." she stammers for a moment, and then hangs her head in shame. "I can't dance."

"Oh is that all?" Beastboy laughed and pointed, "Look at that crowd do most of them look like they're actually dancing? Some of them I can't even tell where the limbs end and the body begins!"

He turned back to her with a encouraging smile, "Come on, I'll show you a couple of good fallback moves, it'll be fun!"

Laurie laughs at the first joke. At his encouragement, she puts out her hand, doubting that she can manage to not make a fool of herself and prove her theory right...but Garfield seems to know what to do.

And he's very sweet about it.

"A-alright then."

And there was the faintest flutter of excitement in his stomach as he did.

Laurie likes the way his hand is in hers. It's nice to feel that way about a boy again. After everything with Josh and him cheating on her with a teacher. The jerk...
