oontz oontz oontz oontz [open]

Good news, denizens of the good ship Stacy: Zokez II had quite the night life.

There was a club a short distance from the beach that promised "the hoppingingingest night in the city" in multiple languages (the message got across, at least) and once dusk had fallen you could hear the music from blocks away. Venturing inside would show off an interior design that looked like somebody had fallen in love with the neon black light posters of Earth's 1970s, with brightly colored and oddly shaped couches, stools, tables and bars. Even the drink cups looked like they'd taken a spin in a too-hot dishwasher, all varieties of strange and squiggly shapes. Aliens of all shapes and sizes had taken up along the walls and the holographic dance floor and the good times were certainly rolling.

As was the alcohol.

[ooc: OH GOD IT'S A *SPACE NIGHTCLUB*. Have at, party animals.

Here's some terrible mood music.]

Kate snorted. Oh great, looked who crawled out to annoy again?

"Keep talking like that, and I'll show you what kind of moves I got." Better for kicking your ass she thought.

"Why don't you show me anyway?"

That's right, Kate. Impress him.

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
She gave him an odd look as she continued to move and spin around, "On the dance floor? There's better places to kick your ass."
telekinetic_badass: (Grin)

[personal profile] telekinetic_badass 2010-06-13 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
And on one of those spins, he caught her in his arms.

"Well, I was just talking about dancing. But if you want to take this somewhere private and show me what other moves you have, I could be convinced." She can guess what he meant by that.

Kate stiffened at that, and glared as she tried to back away, "I was talking about fighting, and you're talking about sex. Wow are you way off base."

[personal profile] telekinetic_badass 2010-06-13 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
He was still smirking. "Not really, a good fight can make excellent foreplay."

He eased up his grip on her, letting her back away. "Not like you could kick my ass at much of anything anyway, princess."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
Ok, that made her cheeks color a little, since she felt the same way.

Kate backed away, and folded her arms in front of her.

"Only because you know nothing about me."

He decided to step closer, eying her blush.

"I know all I need to."

Shore leave, real shore leave, was something that Tony had desperately needed. He'd been going a bit stir-crazy on the ship to be honest and ending up on planet had just been what the doctor ordered. He'd spent some time outside, just enjoying the sun and the breeze and the solid earth underneath him. He'd never been one of those total nature freak Garou, but he still missed Earth. He had bee meaning to find Kate and his searching had lead him to a certain club. He wasn't exactly dressed for clubbing, but he'd never been one to care much about fashion. He slipped through the crowd, trying to spot a familiar face through the crowd. He caught a flash of a purple dress and black hair and turned, pausing as the crowd shifted.

Kate looked a bit uncomfortable and Tony frowned, his hackles rising. Maybe it was the wolf in him or maybe it was the macho ideas he'd grown up around. Either way, he didn't particularly like the look Julian was giving her. He shifted forward to tap Julian on the shoulder. "Hey, pendejo, I think you should leave."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Kate gave a warm grin when Tony showed up. Granted she felt she could handle herself if she needed to fight, but had to admit his rescue and reaction was well, made the girl in her feel excited.

"Cutting in, Tony? Go right ahead," She walked over to him, and laid a hand on his shoulder.

"Oh, you brought your puppy to the club with you. How cuuuuuuute," Julian stated in an overly sugary tone, right in Tony's face.

"But you kept him off the leash. You should be careful with that, wouldn't want him to make a mess anywhere."

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony twitched his fingers and gave Kate a very tight, very strained smile. Julian's words got to him, more than he wanted to admit. Didn't help that his natural Rage was broiling underneath the surface. His inner beast wanted to tear Julian apart, make him submit, hurt him. Instead, he forced it back, resisted the urge to shift to war-form and show Julian just how much of a mess he could make when he was pissed.

"Rather be a dog than a sleaze-bag. 'least a dog can have friends."

[personal profile] telekinetic_badass 2010-06-13 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"A dog has masters, not friends," he corrected casually, almost as if he was talking to a child. "You might want to keep that in mind, pup."

He clapped Tony on the shoulder, then looked over at Kate. "Princess," he stated, by way of good-bye, and walked off.

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony's nostrils flared and his whole body tensed. That was a clear, vocal challenge if he ever heard one. Not to mention the sting of the insults was enough to make his beast slaver and rave for Julian's head. With visible effort he prevented himself from trying to take off Julian's head. Then again, when you were a Bone Gnawer, you got used to it. Not that the Rage cared whether you could deal with the insults mentally or not. He watched Julian go, biting back a growl.

"...Prick."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Kate looked pretty livid herself, like she wanted to punch that smug look at the jerk for good.

She yelled after Julian, hoping that every woman he tried to hit on heard her, "YOU SAD PATHETIC ASSHOLE! HOPE IT FEELS GOOD THAT YOU ONLY USE WOMEN AND INSULT PEOPLE TO MAKE UP FOR YOUR SAD LIFE!"

She sighed, and turned back to Tony, "Sorry, I know he's not worth it, but he really deserves a beatdown one of these days."

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
"Trust me," Tony grouched, "I know. Was resistin' the urge to go warform on his ass right here."

Still, he looked pleased. "Nice string of insults you got there, though. And... uh..."

He was still a bit awkward about this sort of thing. "...I like the dress."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Kate was still shaking with anger a little and forced herself to fully calm down. Remembering one of the sensei she trained under breathing exercises helped.

She reached out to touch his hand, "Thanks. Want to dance?"

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Tony took a few more moments to force the rage back down. He grumbled and then slowly nodded as a wry smile spread across his face. "...Alright. Dunno how good at it I'm gonna be, though."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
"I could show you how. Slow dance is the easiest after all. You can just sway back and forth. And I know some other steps." She then demonstrated one of the simpler modern dances from her world. Between her training and her photographic memory, she had figured out how to duplicate the steps.

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"...alright." He raised his hands awkwardly, glancing down at his feet. Slow dancing. Why did it have to be slow dancing? He wasn't a dancing kind of guy. He tried to keep up, imitating Kate as he tried to keep the beat.

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
She tried to use her hand gently under his chin to direct his face upward.

"Hey, you're doing fine. Relax, ok?"

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-15 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"I am relaxed! I just don't wanna step on your toes..." Tony grinned wryly as he finally glanced up. He could do this. How hard could dancing be compared to combat?

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-16 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
She gave a quiet laugh at that, "My toes are fine. It's ok." She then gestured to somebody who looked like their dance style was a cross between a dying bird and a seizure.

"And it's a lot better than that guy."

[identity profile] playsin-traffic.livejournal.com 2010-06-16 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you say so..." He managed a grin as he kept his gaze up (although he still fervently hoped he wasn't about to walk all over her feet). Her gesture diverted his attention and for a moment he watched the other dancer with an expression locked somewhere between amusement and horror.

"...if I ever look like that, put me down for m'own good."

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Kate's feet were pretty intact so far. Then again, she was being careful to avoid his feet as they moved.

She laughed more, "Sure. Got some tranq arrows."
