Good news, denizens of the good ship Stacy: Zokez II had quite the night life.
There was a club a short distance from the beach that promised "the hoppingingingest night in the city" in multiple languages (the message got across, at least) and once dusk had fallen you could hear the music from blocks away. Venturing inside would show off an interior design that looked like somebody had fallen in love with the neon black light posters of Earth's 1970s, with brightly colored and oddly shaped couches, stools, tables and bars. Even the drink cups looked like they'd taken a spin in a too-hot dishwasher, all varieties of strange and squiggly shapes. Aliens of all shapes and sizes had taken up along the walls and the holographic dance floor and the good times were certainly rolling.
As was the alcohol.

Here's someterrible mood music.]

Here's some
Side thread with Sofia
Nura is dancing up a storm when she notices her good friend zipping past her in some kind of a hurry. She stops dancing with a cute young boy that she had just met and gives him an apologetic smile.
"My friend needs me..." and then she's zooming off after the zizzed off Sofia's trail.
Out of the nightclub she follows Sofia, outside where there is a gorgeous fountain and a couple of rose bushes in yellow, creme, and pink and red.
Her heels start to become a zizzing ache after a few seconds outside the club, so she floats via flight ring. "Sweetie! Wait up!" she calls to her friend.
Ava can tag here I guess
"Leave me alone, Nura."
Re: Ava can tag here I guess
"What kind of friend would I be if I left a pretty young girl so upset?" She is next to Sofia in a flash, putting her arms around the girl, and holding tight in case Sofia wants to fight her way out.
"C'mon, Sweetie... I hate to see you so unhappy."

"Sofia? Is... are you okay?"

"I have had it with that cabrĂ³n and his flirting with anything that moves if he would just stay away from me."
That would be a no.

Nura rubs Sofia's back soothingly, in the way her mother had done for her whenever she'd been upset as a child. She isn't going to say anything - lest she wish to say something that would throw Sofia off balance in her delicate state - instead she just keeps her mouth shut and her arms around Sofia.
The way Nura's blue eyes dart from Ava, to Sofia, and then to Ava again, with a Nura-version of desperation, clearly says "SAY/DO SOMETHING!" without Nura really having to say it.

"I'm really sorry, Sofia." Ava says, tucking a few stray hairs that had fallen out of place during her sprint behind one ear. "I had no idea you felt that strongly about him, or I'd have walked out with you." This is true, for the most part, and Ava seems to be completely sincere.

He was a jerk. A cad. She had been over this before-- many times-- why should it still hurt? Because maybe things could be different? She'd never know. Because she had actually believed he could change? He had proved that wrong.
Maybe she'd actually thought he'd cared?
Laughable.
And now tears were replaced by anger. "I did but- but he doesn't care about anyone but himself. And seeing him flirt with other girls, trying to do the same thing to them, playing them all for fools..."
