The very first thing Tycho did after he disembarked, was to buy a pair of shorts and a shirt, in a lightweight summery material (along with some underwear) and some sunglasses. He stashed his plantsuit in the shopping bag, and then, pulling up a map of the city on his omicom, set out to familiarize himself with the environs.

As much as Tycho liked the idea of getting some drinks and hitting the beach, it was impossible to say how long Stacy would actually allow them to remain on this planet. The smart thing to do would be to get the needed supply gathering done first so that in the event of anything unexpected happening, they would not be forced to leave without stocking up.

Tycho gave a cursory examination to the shops meant for tourists, but he had no doubt the prices were inflated there, and they would not have things in the amounts he needed. No, instead what he wanted was to find where the shops purchased their supplies from.

It would take some sleuth work, but Tycho was sure he was up to the task. He headed down another commercial street that looked promising.

Black Hayate, of course, was having a field day. Unlike the last person he tackled, this one didn't fall over! And he wasn't in trouble! In fact, the guy seemed nice. So of course, Hayate was going to try and lick his face like crazy, but all fun things must come to an end. Riza was particularly calm as she made way to find the pup. He never normally ran off, so when the person appeared at least not to be... offensive to the small pup, Riza had loosened the tension from the fact said pup had run off. Her expression was stern as she stepped over and spoke to the pup first. "Black Hayate," the voice was clipped sternly and Hayate stopped what he was doing to look back.

Ears pulled back at the expression his master was giving in understanding. "Bad dog," she said, repeating the very words she had used when the dog had tackled Edward. And he stiffened some in the man's hold, managing a small wag of his tail. Riza shook her head, running a hand over her eyelids before addressing the man, allowing the firmest of slim-smiles to take hold. (This being the normal, professional and serious smile she gave at work and to stranger that weren't children.)

"I apologize, he's normally so much more well behaved. But since we've arrived he's hardly acted like himself," the woman said calmly, eyes turning to Hayate for a moment before returning her attention to the man. Since they arrived on the ship, since they arrived at this planet even more so. Riza blamed the weather, neither of them had grown up anywhere near a place like this. Plus, the whole factor all she could think was: Great, a desert covered in water, although not quite so like that, didn't help the matter any.
