Rogue Squadron Meet 'n' Greet, Mark 2 [ Closed to Rogue Squadron]

Wedge had set up the headquarters for yet another meet and greet operation. The headquarters, of course, was simply an abandoned building with appropriate facilities he had commandeered in the city. A low building of bright red brick, it had at some point been an office complex. Now it was the headquarters of the best fighter squadron anywhere (or so the reputation went). A crude sign and been painted over the front of the building reading 'Rogue Squadron Headquarters,' replacing the precious owners which had advertised for insurance of some type. The front offices had been set up for use by Wedge and his small staff (now including Tycho, Ben and Nura) to run the squadron. Another side room had been set up as a 'pilot lounge,' though at the moment it only had some spare office furniture. Couches and other things were hard to come by on Stacy. Finally, the largest room had been converted into a briefing room of sorts, with a projector and several rows of seating, as well as tables that could be stowed or set up as needed.

At the moment there were simply chairs scattered around the edge of the room. Wedge waited, occasionally checking his chronometer. Hopefully everyone would arrive and mingle, and then he could get down to the business of letting them know exactly what they were in for.

[[OOC: Feel free to tag each other, please!

The briefing has started!]]

"I agree. Even mobile suits are all different in their own rights, depending on what sort of unit it is. As somebody who'd had to familiarize himself with various types of our own units in order to best command his own team, I think it's something that requires all types of experience."

"That said, if either of you have any questions about the units as well, aside from what you know and aside from the first hand experience you'll get when we begin training, I'd be more than happy to answer them."

"Especially because I'm eager to familiarize myself with the other sorts of units I'll be fighting with, too." This was important to Yzak. He knew that training was training, and it was important in itself. Especially when it came to learning about other tactics and abilities. But still, when it came to actual war, actual fighting, the situation could so easily turn into something you'd never covered in training.

"Thank you Mister Jule, I'll certainly keep that in mind," Tycho promised.

"As for the pilots, we'll be requiring all of you to gain at least a basic familiarity with piloting an X-Wing, even the Mobile suit pilots. We'll be requiring the X-Wing pilots to acquire a basic familiarity with the mobile suits as well. I'm sure we'll be speaking with all of you mobile suit pilots further, on what a proper training course would be."
