Wedge had set up the headquarters for yet another meet and greet operation. The headquarters, of course, was simply an abandoned building with appropriate facilities he had commandeered in the city. A low building of bright red brick, it had at some point been an office complex. Now it was the headquarters of the best fighter squadron anywhere (or so the reputation went). A crude sign and been painted over the front of the building reading 'Rogue Squadron Headquarters,' replacing the precious owners which had advertised for insurance of some type. The front offices had been set up for use by Wedge and his small staff (now including Tycho, Ben and Nura) to run the squadron. Another side room had been set up as a 'pilot lounge,' though at the moment it only had some spare office furniture. Couches and other things were hard to come by on Stacy. Finally, the largest room had been converted into a briefing room of sorts, with a projector and several rows of seating, as well as tables that could be stowed or set up as needed.

At the moment there were simply chairs scattered around the edge of the room. Wedge waited, occasionally checking his chronometer. Hopefully everyone would arrive and mingle, and then he could get down to the business of letting them know exactly what they were in for.

"That's not really it," he frowned. "The fact that everyone is picking fights with him can't be good for, well, dragging him away from dark emotions."

"I always attempt for the diplomatic approach first," Arha said. "He does not hear."

"Thanks," he said, "but -- this is going to sound crazy, but it would probably help if there was a non-Jedi who could get close for him to not hate."

"Perhaps," Arha said. "But I intend to heal him regardless. Someone else may, certainly, try the approach. It would be beneficial for him. Ceasing my efforts at this point in time is unwise."

"What would happen?"

"I do not know. If I ceased, there is a chance that his lung function could deteriorate further. Equally, he could improve. I do not wish to place him in risk by discontinuing this current course of treatment." Arha frowned just a little, running scenarios over in her mind. "I have been a healer for a very long time, since I was a child. I would not simply stop something like this. So far, it has helped him greatly. He has gotten true rest and such a thing seems to be rare for him."

"I wouldn't know. I never met him."

"Mmm. Such was an observation made based upon his reaction. I suppose there is much to keep him from rest. In any case, no matter the course, this shall be an interesting endeavor." Arha folded her hands. "I hope that this healing is successful."

"Me too. Just don't get yourself beat up in the process."

"I shall try not to, but in any case, I heal very quickly if it should come down to such a thing." Arha's expression was vaguely amused as she shook her head. "It will be a good thing, this path I walk."

"Obi-Wan's given you the Dark Side talk, right?"

"I have heard it, yes," Arha said. "I had not experienced it for myself until I met Vader. It burns like poison, this Dark Side. I am Bene Gesserit. I have withstood the most potent poison in my universe and changed it into water that is harmless--such was my trial to become Reverend Mother. It nearly killed me and here I stand. I shall be, what is it they say? Okay. I shall be okay. Do you have advice in such a matter, Ben? I would hear it, for you have had more exposure to such things than I."

He went quiet for a moment, thinking of Jacen. "You seem like a good person," he said slowly, "so if what you're doing feels wrong, there's a good chance it's dark. And remember that you're never alone."

"I have my Jed-Eye," Arha said, her words a surge of bright joy. "I am never alone. You are all my family. If I need, I shall reach. And I have made a promise in that I will stop if such wrongness is present in my actions. I am, always, most grateful. Such is good advice, Ben."
