Free Hugs, anyone~?
Too much doom and gloom on the ship? Easily fixed, if you ask this mechanic.
There is a table in the mess hall, carefully set up just inside one of the doors, with a small sign on top reading, "Free Hugs!" Next to the sign, looking as smiley as she possibly can, sits Kaylee, ready to hug anyone and everyone who walks through the door.
Non-huggers beware, even you are in danger of some cheering up today.

Yeah, those people without a choice in the hugging? You're one of them, Dean.

Right now, he wasn't going to say something about hugs or how corny they were, because clearly he needed this.
no subject
She wasn't going to ask him to talk about it if he didn't want to, even with her curiosities about the conversation. For now, hugs and comfort would have to do.

"Um, listen. Had some news from Cas, he's uh from our future. Mine and Sam's, told us some things about it. And it gets pretty bad, about as bad as it could get. There's... ah shit, there's a lot going on that I haven't said. Or there was before we lost our world."
no subject
"Bad as it could get don't mean there ain't more to it than you know." She cracked a small smile as he started explaining. "Dean, if you'd've told me everythin', I'd be wonderin' how you forgot where a handprint on your shoulder came from," she replied. "Plenty of things neither of us have shared, just how it goes, but if you wanna tell then there's probly a better place than the Mess Hall for it." A nod back to the door. "C'mon, I can leave the post for a little while."
no subject
"Yeah, for starters? Cas' the reason behind that handprint."
Dean was glad she hadn't pressed him for details, just giving him space until he could say something.
"The Serenity then?"
no subject
She nodded, before looping her arm through his and tugging him toward the door. "Just Serenity, no the, but she'll be as snug a place as any for a good talk." So long as Simon didn't walk in. Kaylee wasn't sure she was ready for that encounter yet.

Simonwas going to interrupt. Then it was back to the kitchen, where she seated herself in one of the chairs at the table and prepared herself to listen.no subject
"All right, told you a little about the hunting but there's more. A lot more. First of all, Sammy and I were still hunting but we had something bigger going on. The Apocalypse. As in the Biblical one, Revelations, the Four Horseman, ultimate showdown between Lucifer and Michael. And my brother and I were right in the middle of it. Hell damn angels and demons were wanting us to freaking star in it because of who we are."
no subject
"And you didn't want any part."

He shook his head, and wiped a hand over his face, "If that's our damn future, then to hell with it. Tired of all of it. No way I'm going to lose my brother."

"Cas was saying it was our last and only chance. I... I'd sooner say yes myself than let that happen to my brother. And Cas... he's human now. No more mojo, and he thought he was dead at first." Fear gripped as he realized what that would mean. Sam gone, Cas gone. If Bobby was gone too, he'd be all alone. Everybody would have left him, just as he always feared the most.

"Yeah, maybe. But it still means I either lose my brother to Lucifer, or to Hell."
Dean paused and then admitted, "I know what it's like down there... Made a deal once to save my brother's life. Cas was the angel to yank me back eventually."
no subject
"Like I said, there might be a way to get him back, and it might not even present itself til later on, but between you 'n Sam? I doubt there's a power in the 'verse could keep you two from not findin' a way to help each other."
no subject
"That would be God, and he doesn't seem to be answering his voicemail."
He sighed, "Just keep thinking the Ohm did us a favor. Even though I didn't want our world destroyed either, but we're free from all of it now."
no subject
"I'm not sayin' it's gonna be an easy way, in any form of the word--"
She cut off, and just flat out stared at him. Better that the Ohm took things out? Kaylee leaned back, eyebrows raised. "You can't say you're glad to see it gone just 'cause of a speed bump. That's just...zao gao. Na mei guan xi, why don't we just be glad everybody's world's gone, because lord knows the troubles they'd just bring along." Ticked? Maybe a little.
[[ OoC Translation: Damn it. If that's the case, ]]

Dean started to answer and then paused for a moment, "I'm not glad those six billion are gone, hell I spent my entire life trying to save people. And it didn't even mean anything. Supposed to save the world, and screwed that up before it got iced. But it meant destiny was just a bunch of bullshit too."
He lowered his head to the table for a moment, and rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"I just wanted to explain some things to you because I... I trust you, and thought you should know what to expect. I mean, shit, I'm not perfect, not even close. Just trying."
no subject
Kaylee looked at him thoughtfully.
"'M glad you've shared with me, and I hope you'll continue doin' so, but you can't just keep on bein' so hard on yourself for somethin' you ain't even seen for yourself yet. Things're different from others' eyes. Maybe you then'll see somethin' Cas didn't, y'know?"
