Free Hugs, anyone~?

Too much doom and gloom on the ship? Easily fixed, if you ask this mechanic.

There is a table in the mess hall, carefully set up just inside one of the doors, with a small sign on top reading, "Free Hugs!" Next to the sign, looking as smiley as she possibly can, sits Kaylee, ready to hug anyone and everyone who walks through the door.

Non-huggers beware, even you are in danger of some cheering up today.

"Why is everyone so sad? Is it because they woke up here?" There was genuine curiosity in the girl's voice, as if she didn't understand why people would be upset over waking up in a strange ship surrounded by strange people. Must have something to do with the whole 'unable to feel sadness' thing.

She also didn't know about their worlds being destroyed and possibly everyone they know dying. Thanks, big sis.

"Aww, people need to look on the bright side, then! It's a new place to explore, with a lot of interesting new people to meet!"

Endless optimism, meet endless cheer.

"Exactly!" Koishi nodded in agreement. "And if you sit around sulking all the time, you miss out on a lot, which is even worse."

"Nice to meetcha, Kaylee!" The other girl took Kaylee's hand, shaking it. "My name's Koishi. Koishi Komeiji!"
