Free Hugs, anyone~?

Too much doom and gloom on the ship? Easily fixed, if you ask this mechanic.

There is a table in the mess hall, carefully set up just inside one of the doors, with a small sign on top reading, "Free Hugs!" Next to the sign, looking as smiley as she possibly can, sits Kaylee, ready to hug anyone and everyone who walks through the door.

Non-huggers beware, even you are in danger of some cheering up today.

"I see." Castiel makes a face, but continues to eat the slop.

Meanwhile, he's continuing to eye Kaylee and her sign critically. "Is such a thing normal to advertise, for humans?" he questions between bites.

Don't worry, Cas, you aren't the only one who would rather flush it down the toilet.

Kaylee glances over at the sign. "Not normally, but I figure things've been less than pleasant around here lately, and hugs tend to at least give a tiny bit of relief from tension..."

"Less than pleasant lately?" Castiel questioned. "You mean being trapped on some ... space ship, with our worlds destroyed, things can ever be pleasant?"


Yeah, hungover Cas is still bitchy Cas. Sorry Kaylee.

S'alright, she's use to it from half her crewmates.

"Course they can. Just look at it--you've got Dean 'n Sam here with you, don't ya? And we're workin' to restore worlds 'n save others, so we're doin' some good, too!"

Castiel grimaces, scrunching up his shoulders as if they're tense. "Yes, but they're annoying too," he points out grumpily. "And ..." He doesn't want to talk about the rest of it, so he turns away.

He's like a little kid in the middle of a temper tantrum, this one. "You 'n I both know you wouldn't be hangin' around them like you have been on the ship if you really thought that, and I don't think you'd be tellin' what all went on later in the time stream if you didn't give a hoot." That's all there is to it, really. Being drunk is no excuse to push your friends out, Cas.

Cas rolls his eyes at Kaylee. "I love them, but that doesn't mean they aren't obnoxious buttholes," he says. "But they are my family. Of course I ... what is a 'hoot'?"

She's not even going to pay attention to that statement except for 'buttholes.' "Na shi shen me? Ai ya, we've gotta get you some better language than 'buttholes.' What kid you pick that up from?" As for a hoot...Kaylee tilts her head to the side to think about it better. "I s'pose a hoot's a bit like a damn."
