Free Hugs, anyone~?

Too much doom and gloom on the ship? Easily fixed, if you ask this mechanic.

There is a table in the mess hall, carefully set up just inside one of the doors, with a small sign on top reading, "Free Hugs!" Next to the sign, looking as smiley as she possibly can, sits Kaylee, ready to hug anyone and everyone who walks through the door.

Non-huggers beware, even you are in danger of some cheering up today.

Beastboy shifted back and let out a sigh of relief, "Well that's good...but that makes me wonder what our biggest worry is? I mean is it something immediate? Cuz the idea that our homes are all kabloowie I can deal with with a hearty self helping of denial and irrepressible optimism."

"Biggest worry depends on what you're doin' on the ship, I think. Some folks it's the runnin' of the ship itself, others it's keepin' her in repair, even more it's the preparations for missions..." All depends on the person and the day.

"Uh huh...uh huh...well OK that makes me...sort of useless till there's a mission. I'm lousy with tech stuff. This one time I tried to download a video game off the internet and accidentally gave my best bud a computer virus." He paused and added, "Oh he's like half machine...now it makes more sense to hear probably."

She wasn't surprised by the half-machine-friend as she was by the idea of his contracting a computer virus. "Well, between missions, you could always help out with keepin' morale up. There're ten or twelve people I can think of off the top of my head who could use a hug from a kitten."

"Now you're talking!" Beastboy declared, "I may not be much of a techie, but no one can resist "The face!" He grinned from pointy ear to pointy ear showing off that yes he had fangs.

Kaylee clapped her hands together, laughing all the while. "And that's the spirit the crew needs a little more of, too. Shame you can't bottle it for 'em to keep, yeah?"

Beastboy looked like he was trying to imagine the process, "Sounds painful and a little creepy, but I figure Beastboy juice would probably taste like a tofu smoothie." He pondered.

This kid was entertaining, that was all there was to it. "Maybe a little, but 'M sure they'd at least offer you a decent meal after each spirit donation."

"They better!" Beastboy looked a little offended, "After all I'm no cheap date, I don't let just anyone take some donations off me." He winked at his own joke.
