Itadakimasu~! [OPEN PARTY]

If the Mess Hall normally smelled like anything, it was the bland, flavorless glop that the crew was accustomed to eating. But if you were to pass by the room today, you might notice a different smell. A good smell - the smell of actual food.

Nanoha Takamachi and Miku Hinasaki have been hard at work cooking up a feast of authentic homemade Japanese cuisine, and the entire ship is invited. Have at it!

(ooc: Thread amongst yourselves; Nanoha and Miku will be tagging around and making sure everyone's having a good time, but it's a party!

There's pretty much every type of Japanese cuisine here that they thought non-Japanese would enjoy/be familiar with: Hand-rolled sushi, some gyoza potstickers, udon bowls, agedashi tofu, and a variety of other dishes. If you're familiar with it, they probably made some.)

Tenaya looked over at Sasami before tentatively taking a bite of the gyoza. She immediately began to register the chemical composition of the ingredients before they settled into the less discrete flavors of garlic, pork, and cabbage.

"It's...not bad," she admitted. It was definitely new, but she could at least take another bite. And she was beginning to tell what she liked and what she didn't. This certainly wasn't the ship slop. That she knew she didn't like.

This? Was pretty good, to be honest.

"See? It's pretty good, isn't it?" Sasami said, her smile widening. It's always been nice to see others enjoying things. She nodded towards the other foods. "Go ahead, help yourself! There's plenty here!"

"Yeah," Tenaya answered, albeit a little awkwardly. She was far from good with people her own age--well, near enough to whatever she guessed her own age was. Children seemed more off-putting.

But she was going to be with these people for a long time, and she was going to have to get used to them. That meant trying to interact. So, hesitantly, she asked, "What do you recommend?"
