Lonesome Days [Open]
For the most part, things had been very quiet for Sasami. Despite the odd incidents between that dragon creature and the gravity cutting out, it seems a bit worrisome not to have something exciting happen. At this point, as Sasami looked out to the Bleed, she made probably the most duh-inspiring statement ever.
"I miss everyone." Sasami said to herself. She had allowed Ryo-Ohki to wander off and she was even regretting not having her company. Even though she had the palace, even though she had met some of the kids, no one really came to visit her.
More maybe it was because she was still reeling from Karen's reaction. Just because she was an alien didn't mean she should be normal. Maybe that's why no one was around or asking about her. Maybe they figured that, because she was an alien, she could take care of herself...
As she curled herself up on the chair, she wished Paula or maybe Hikari would show up. They were nice...

Sorry, Sasami. Goliath isn't Hikari, or Paula. Not even close. But his tone is kind, for someone who can easily be mistaken for a statue in the corner, with all these shadows around.

"You... you don't have people you know here, too?" Sasami asked.

He stands his ground as she reacts to him, hardly surprised by her reaction. He does not make a habit of apologizing for frightening humans merely by being what he is and looking as he does, but this is a child, not a battle-seasoned 10th-century warrior or a lawkeeper toughened by the streets of a 20th century city. "I apologize for startling you. I am still growing accustomed to speaking to humans who are not already my friends."
no subject
"That, and it's kinda hard to make friends for me..." She scratched her head. "...I never should have told them..."

It's a little hard to tell (since he generally looks like he is all the time), but Goliath is frowning slightly. For a young human girl to have trouble fitting in on a ship of mostly humans strikes him as a thing more than slightly odd.

Granted, it was probably just a few people, but still, it did make her feel very uncomfortable that some of the others hadn't approached her to be friends.

"Are you..." He stopped himself before finishing. She definitely wasn't okay. "What seems to be the matter?"
no subject
"I... I miss everyone." Sasami said, looking down.

Brow furrowed, he hopped up to the rail and padded over. "Hey Neesan, what's up?"
no subject
"Me? Oh... just homesick, really." Sasami said. "I miss everyone... I wish they'd wake up..."
no subject
He sat up, rubbed his head and said, "You're probably wondering if everyone's asleep, and hoping no one was lost huh?"
no subject
"Yeah... but, Negi has some of his friends here with him. Me? I... I don't have anyone. Just... Ryo-Ohki."
Another time and place? Maybe it would have been enough. Now? Not so much.

He sighed and added, "If anything, you're chosen for a larger purpose. I dunno how to put it much like that."
no subject
"A larger purpose?" Sasami said, cocking her eyebrow in confusion. "Isn't that... a little too big for me?"

And that's when she noticed what Sasami said, and that Sasami was there. "There's nothing wrong with that," she said, walking over towards the girl.
no subject
"...I know, but... I wish they were here. I wish they were awake..." she began before tears began rolling down her face. A few moments later and Sasami would race over and cling to the (slightly) older girl, sobbing. "...I wanna go home! I don't like it here! Why was I pulled into this?!"

"I... I just... I'm scared. Everyone's handling this so well, and I'm..." Sasami whispered.

"Everyone here misses someone," Alessa commented, in her human guise for once. "But they manage not to be depressed about it by forming interactions with others, finding things that keep them occupied. You aren't of the typical human world, but you look like one. There are several kids aboard this ship that would be happy to include you as a friend. Why not engage them?"

Sasami looked away as she continued. "...I think some people don't like me..."
no subject
Alessa, after all, knew a thing or two about being disliked: it was a permanent state of mind for her, enough so that if people actually DID express a liking of her it was a bit of a surprise.

"Tell me about it," Alessa said. "I will listen."
