pilots make the worst patients? | medbay [OPEN]
[Bendytimed to the morning after this post]
Tycho had slept for a very long time indeed- obviously he'd need a lot of recuperation from Arha's healing. After he finally awoke, he got on the com network and sent messages to those people he knew, letting them know that he was okay.
Now, he had been ordered to stay in bed until the doctor came to check up on him again, so he sat, with the head of his bed raised, data pad in hand, looking over the numbers from the latest Rogue Squadron training exercise.
He's honestly not paying that much attention to what he's doing. Won't you come in and bother him?

She half dozed, still.

"Busy already?" she mumbled, her voice graveled by sleep.

He smiled ruefully as he nodded in agreement. "Well, you know, the squadron's work is never done."
no subject
"You are feeling better?" she asked and resisted the urge to do anything but rest her cheek against her folded hands.

True, Rhiow had spent most of the day working - she had much to take care of, between the slow rebuild of Grand Central and her commitment to purge Haku of his corruption. The former was going... frustratingly slowly, and she had made very little progress on the latter. Hopefully a couple more days of working with the spell would shake something loose.
But still - she was allowed to go to work. She wasn't injured. "I thought you were supposed to be resting," Rhiow said, leaping up onto the bed next to Tycho's elbow. She would have walked in between him and the screen again but she didn't want to step on his chest.

"I am resting, see?" he told her, gesturing to the bed he was recumbent in. "Lying down and everything." His mouth twisted wryly. "It wasn't my fingers or my brain that were injured after all," he pointed out gently. "I think I ought to be able to work a datapad without straining my chest."

"You and I have to have a talk," she said, trying to sound stern and probably failing. "There are some things you should know about my wizardry."

The smile on his face betrays Kyle's real feelings. Those who have known him long enough would also notice the concern. "You had me really worried when I got the news. Are you sure you're going to be alright?"
no subject
"I'm going to be fine," he reassures his friend. "It was just a couple of scratches- really Arha and Rhiow made a big fuss over nothing."
He's not going to mention the copious amounts of blood lost while he lay on the corridor floor.

"Back to work already?" he asked, grinning as he came up to Tycho's bedside.

He eyed his friend's wet appearance with some amusement. "Go swimming?" he teased.

He was quiet a moment, looking his friend over. "How are you doing?"
no subject
He had to smile ruefully at Luke's question. "I'm fine, really. I'm fine. Everyone's so worried about me, which is rather humbling, but honestly, it wasn't that bad."

But he wasn't prepared to meet one of his victims face to face. And the one that had suffered the worst. But there was no turning back now. "Ah... hello. Are you doing alright?" he was hesitant, not sure if he would react violently or not. He lifted his hands to show that they were normal.

Tycho eyed the other man suspiciously. "I'm doing well enough," he answered, his voice neutral.

"You look like you're recovering fairly well, Tycho." He grinned, glad to see his friend wasn't in any serious danger.

"What happened, exactly? Rhiow wasn't too specific."
