Snap, Crackle, and POP
[ooc: Newbie Helpers List | Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. Tag each other in groups of 2's, 3's, and 4's, to get some interaction to start with. If a thread doesn't already have 2 or 3 people tagged in, tag it with your character's podpop popping near the other people, rather than making a new subthread. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]
||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.
In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.
There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.
--
There was nothing. You were going about your normal life, then there was a bright light, and then? Nothing.
Then the world lurches.
The chamber here is humid.
Actually, "chamber" isn't quite accurate. You're in a cavern, half-lit by an eerie greenish light, going on and on as far as the eye can see. The light is coming from what can only be described as pods, glistening, round greenish-yellow things, glowing with a pale inner light, outlining human -- and not quite human -- forms. Each is rooted to the floor, to the walls, with something black, twisted, and unidentifiable.
They line the walls of the cavern, go up in maddeningly high columns, curling and corkscrewing up into the darkness, until the light from them is like that of the stars, glowing pale and mournful in clusters in the darkness above. Twisted walkways and stairs crisscross, traverse the platforms in front of the pods, wending their way back and forth, up and down through the chamber.
You just came from one of those pods, broke free like a butterfly from a (slimy, nasty) chrysalis.
Now you stand alone but not quite alone, naked, not knowing how you got there, who took you, or why you were taken.
As your body heats up again, you realize the air is warm -- just a few degrees too warm to be comfortable -- and muggy; it smells acrid and organic, like freshly spilt blood and sweat. Your mouth tastes of salt.
The floors are pulsing under your feet, throbbing...
Wherever you are, this entire place...is alive.
Oh, and also you're naked and covered in alien snot.
When you call out, ask where you are, a voice speaks to you, in your head. She tells you:
||You are here.||
When you ask who she is, she tells you that her name is STA'C K'LTRRB'TXFT, but that you may call her Stacy. When she tells you who she is, there is a gush of emotion, love, maternal warmth. You are on a ship. She is that ship. Her name is Stacy and she loves you. Her voice is warm and motherly, even if these messages sound almost automated.
Glowing phosphorescenet lights appear in pustules along the floor. They lead you up a massive spiraling walkway that gives you a view of what are possibly millions in stasis. At the top is a room with moving vines that clean you and clothe you in a plant-like body-suit--soft, but durable. After that, the lights lead you to a great cavernous room with a clear floor that lets you see all the holes and tunnels in the walls of it. When you reach the center, the last thing she tells you before whisking you away to gather your belongings and meet the rest of the crew is this reassuring thought:
||You have been Chosen to accomplish a Great Purpose. You have been Chosen to help fight the Ohm, a race of insectoid beings that are the destroyers of worlds.||
||You have been Chosen as champions of life, as protectors of the worlds and peoples that are left. The others are waiting for you. They will explain everything.||
She will tell you nothing more. Your answers lie with these "others" she speaks of.

"It's lovely!" Reyna gushed. "I can't thank you enough for such generous gift." She would have hugged Celena if she had been of a more huggable size. Instead she settled for placing a grateful hand on Celena's flank. "Now that I no longer have to worry about embarrassing stares I'm eager to get out of here. Let's see if we can't find an exit and some answers, shall we?"
no subject
"Indeed, let us find these 'others' and the answers they may hold," Lifting her head to its highest, Celena cast her gaze to the surrounding area, there, that walkway in the center, must lead somewhere. Looking back down to Reyna, "There, the center of the room, it would seem a likely exit," she replied, indicating with a gesture of a claw before she would begin to move in the direction indicated.
no subject
"I believe you are correct. Let's head that way and see where it leads." Reyna had only taken a couple of steps before something occurred to her and she stopped. Turing back to look at Celena she asked, "I'm not sure the staircase will accommodate your magnificent form. How will you be able to ascend with me?" She eyed Celena's wings speculatively. "Is the power of flight also amongst your many abilities?"
no subject
Looking about to make sure she had enough rough either side she spread her wings wide once more, stretching and testing the muscles before giving a confident nod. "Hmm, there doesn't seem to have been any detrimental affects to muscles, so yes with enough room, I could take off easily enough and land at the entrance above," Tilting her head as she looked over Reyna thoughtfully.
"Hmm, were I at my normal size I could carry you with ease, I may still be able to carry you up there, should you so wish it,"
no subject
"I'd be delighted if you could carry me up there!" Her body thrilled at the thought of flying in the open air with Celena and she quickly padded over to her. "What would you like me to do?" she asked eagerly.
no subject
As she padded over, Celena crouched herself to make it simpler for Reyna to climb atop her, "If you sit at the base of my neck, you can use my neck and shoulders to aid in holding on," she replied easily, lowering her neck a little to aid Reyna in hopping up, smiling as she watched and waited for her to climb on.
no subject
"I'm ready when you are Celena!" Reyna said excitedly, making sure her grip was secure and bracing herself for takeoff.
no subject
"Hold on tight because here we go!" She warned over her shoulder, giving a second to take it in before she unleashed the power coiled in her legs, leaping high above the pods even as she brought her wings down, powerful wing strokes propelling her higher and higher.
After a moment she leveled out, wings spread wide to either side, gliding through the warm humid air of the cavern. The shear scale of the pod-cavern becoming all the clearer as the vast number of glowing pods stretched in all directions. Silent for the moment in awe of the scale before tilting her head to glance back to her passenger, "Holding up okay back there?"
no subject
"I'm doing just fine," she reassured Celena with a grin. "This is incredible! It is most definitely preferable to walking!"
[OOC: Between the illusionary dress and letting Reyna fly with her, Celena has just made a friend for life! XD]

Wings beating down in slow arches as they soared high above the pods below, Celena tilting everso lightly on wingtip as she arched their course to circle the pillar in the very center of the room. Taking in the shear number of pods on all sides above and below, briefly focusing a little bit of energy to her sight, the shear amount of life beaming from the room confirming her suspicions as to the pods. "There must be millions of them, nearly all inhabited.."
[ooc: With her interest, manners and similar curiosity, would seem Reyna's made one as well XD]

"It looks like the stairs end at a large landing near the top of that central pillar," Reyna told Celena, leaning forward a bit and pointing it out for her. "There's probably enough room for you to land there safely." She grinned and added, "Eventually."
[ooc: Yay! \o/ Sorry I didn't have Reyna tag Celena's post-Podpop post. I wanted to but was just too busy to squeeze it in. Sorry!]
no subject
As their flight path brought them back around the pillar she nodded, "Hmm, plenty of room to land indeed," She grinned at the added comment,"A little extra time in the air couldn't hurt," nodding in agreement as she arched to draw a large circle out towards the walls of the cavern before leading back in toward the pillar.
[OOC: Not a problem at all! Will always be other posts, will keep an eye out for any Reyna one's as well myself.]
no subject
"Thank you! That was incredible! I'd like to do that again sometime if you're agreeable." She eyed the curiously swaying vines in the room before her as she talked. There seemed to be only one way forward, and she would clearly have to push her way through if she wanted to get out of here.
"Well, it looks like there's only one way out of here. Let's see what's beyond these vines..." With that Reyna left Celena's side and reached out a hand to push the vines aside as she entered the room. She yelped in surprise when the vines began to wrap themselves around her arms. She struggled to pull away but was held fast as the things enveloped her more fully, slithering over her body in a disgustingly intimate manner. Reyna grimly endured the humiliation, jaw clenched and cheeks burning with shame.
Eventually the vines retreated, leaving Reyna scrubbed clean and clothed in a faintly pulsing suit of some soft, organic material. The lovely illusion of a dress that Celena had provided for her remained intact, covering most of the strange suit. While she was technically clothed now Reyna was still grateful for the dress, preferring it's flowing deception to the skin-tight reality of her new outfit.
"Well, that was... unpleasant." Reyna said sourly. "But at least it's over and I'm finally clean. Maybe now we'll get some answers..."
[ooc: I think we're about ready to wrap this up. How about with Celena's next tag?]
no subject
"It was my pleasure, Reyna. Of course, I'd be happy to once the opportunity arises," Replying with a dip of her head and a warm smile before drawing her gaze to the vines beyond.
"Indeed, lets," Celena nodded and stepped after Reyna only to pause as the vines seemingly struck out, half drawing a growl from the dragon, though curiosity overriding as she watched on,noting they were doing no harm as they slithered over the human's form, merely cleaning and seemingly clothing her. Shaking her head as the vines finished their job. An interesting way of going about it she had to admit though.
After Reyna had passed through the tentacles, Celena herself stepped forth her markings glowing a little brighter as the tentacles reached for, only to brush over a faint red barrier until she had passed into the room beyond with her new friend.
"An unusual manner of cleaning I must admit, curious though, let us see about getting these answers then, and perhaps make up for that discomfort caused,"
[ooc:Sounds good to me. Looking forward to threading some more between them though. ^^ ]
