Friendly Fire

Elsewhere on this ship, a war was being waged. A war for the hearts and minds, the souls and very sanity of this crew.

A war that Stacy wasn't certain that all would survive, hence why she released you. Replacements would be needed.

But that war is miles away from where you are. Or at least, so it seems. There are no screams of agony to greet you, no monsters trying to claw at you.

But that doesn't mean the Nightmare King can't reach you.

Prior to your arrival here on the Obs deck, reality had been shifted. Constructs of the current crew grew out of nothing. All of them look, sound, feel, behave, and scan as the crew member they're copying. They're as real as you are. And with smiling faces, they await your arrival.

They can't wait to welcome you. To your doom.

Won't you say hi?

[ooc: Nightmare plot is still on, people, and this is the newbie portion. For all current players, as stated above, the Nightmare King made copies of your guys, who are still stuck fighting nightmares elsewhere in the plot. You can tag in as the copy of your character, have them be friendly, get the newbies to let their guard down, and then the real nightmare can begin. Newbies, you can tag in, have fun, and suspect nothing until its too late.]

[Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have the copies of your guys greet the newbies.]

"Tell me." He leaned against a wall, to prepare himself for anything Shiro would tell him.

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-03 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
The Kazami crosses his arms, looking up at the ceiling. "Our worlds, all of them, have been destroyed. Nothing remains, save for the people on this ship." He glances down at the pod chambers. "We don't know where we're going, just that we're to play some role in finding and defeating whoever did this. And even now, they're out there, killing other universes."

He scowls, tapping a finger against his arm. "Honestly, I don't know enough of the situation. Everyone's very hush about everything, you understand."

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-03 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
All gone? Tsukasa put more of his weight on the wall while keeping his face relatively impassive.

"Well, at least I don't have to worry about being called the 'Destroyer of Worlds.'" He gave a rueful chuckle, since he had been called that. A lot.

"So, how about giving a fellow Rider the grand tour?" Tsukasa asked while pulling himself up and heading over to the senior Rider. He was annoyed at not knowing a lot, but he cannot really do a lot about that now.

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-03 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
He doesn't comment on the 'Destroyer of Worlds' line. The Nightmare King isn't so interested in that kind of thing. Instead, he turns and gestures for Tsukasa to follow. After all, isolating his prey would be the first, and most important part of all of this.

"A fellow Rider?" He says over his shoulder. He turns and gestures for the younger man to follow him. "Do tell. We've got a few hallways to go down before we get to an interesting place, anyway."

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-03 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Tsukasa started after Kazami, to fill him in on who he is.

"Yeah; a fellow Rider. My powers are, simply put, the powers of the ten preceding Riders before me. Their forms, attacks, and finishers are mine to use...or at least they would be, if I hadn't lost most of my cards beforehand."

He opened his RideBooker, and looked at the cards he still had. "Right now, all I have are my basic cards, Kamen Rider Kuuga's, Kamen Rider Faiz's, and Kamen Rider Hibiki's." He sighed and replaced the cards into the RideBooker. He was so wound up in his lecture that Tsukasa didn't even notice where Kazami was leading him.

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"So you rely of your cards to fight?" He looks over his shoulder, looking concerned. "That could lead to a bad situation, couldn't it?"

Kazami's lead him down several hallways and into a large room, though nowhere near the size of the observation deck or the pod chambers Rows of seats and tables fill it, and trays and eating utensils are near one wall. It's pretty obviously a cafeteria of some kind. This would do.

"Still, I haven't heard of any of these Riders you've mentioned." He turns and leans against one of the counters. "What was your name, anyway?"

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
He doesn't know who I am? Tsukasa looked back at Kazami and chuckled.

"Heh...first time I've met a Rider who didn't know who I was. Bit of a shocking experience, really. I'm Kadoya. Tsukasa Kadoya. Remember that."

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Tsukasa Kadoya..." He says it softly, turning around and crossing his arms, as if trying to remember something. Tsukasa had said it himself, earlier in the conversation, hadn't he? "I have heard of you. The Destroyer of Worlds." The false Kazami's voice drops suddenly, becoming much harsher. "It's all your fault. Henshin!"

There's no gestures, no gadgets, nothing like that. Just the word, and Kamen Rider V3 superimposes himself over Kazami. He whirls, kicking back at Tsukasa's gut as he does so. "You'll find no shelter here!"

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-08 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
The kick connected. Hard. Tsukasa went flying across the room, with only the wall stopping him.

Kazami...you're supposed to be a hero...a defender of justice. What the hell?!

V3 walked toward him and threw a punch that went through the wall, which Tsukasa barely rolled under, putting on his belt as he did so. Too much experience with other Riders...but not the ones before Kuuga appeared. This was...wrong, on far too many levels.

He barely dodged another kick, pulling out the Decade card.

"Very well, then...if this is the way it's going to be...HENSHIN!" He slotted the Decade card into his DecaDriver, and he was clothed in the armor of Kamen Rider Decade. He shifted his RideBooker into Sword Mode, and slashed.

"Why, Kazami?! Why would I destroy all the worlds, including mine? What do I gain from it?! I've been working to save the worlds!"

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-08 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
The false V3 takes the slash across the chest, jerking to the side with a shower of sparks. He regains his footing easily enough, and picks up one of the tables, hurling it at Decade.

He snarls, lunging to throw a punch while the table, hopefully, blocks Decade's view of him. "Do you think I know? Or care? The blood of billions lies on your hands, Tsukasa! I can hear them crying out for vengeance!"

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-08 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Tsukasa stopped for a second; Kazami had a point. And in that second, a table flew at his face!

*ATTACK RIDE! SLASH!* His sword charged up with energy, and he slashed through it. Right afterward, he pulled out a Kamen Ride card.

*KAMEN RIDE! KUUGA!* He was bathed in light, and changed into the Rider with an ancient power: Kamen Rider Kuuga. "Let's go, Kazami!" And with that, he charged into hand-to-hand combat.

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-08 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Changing into another Rider won't help you here!" Copy V3 jumps a bit, trying to knee the faux Kuuga in the face. Inwardly, the Nightmare King is frustrated. How many different forms and powers could one man have? He was only human, after all.

Fake Kazami, in the meantime, was frustrated. This wasn't going to go as easily as planned if the other guy kept changing forms. He was pretty sure he could wipe the floor with the pink bastard, but this red guy actually looked kind of intimidating.

...Y'know. As intimidating as you can be when facing a creature controlled by pure nightmare.

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-08 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Kuuga!Decade grabbed V3's leg and threw him. He needed a few seconds. "Just settle down, Kazami! I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to!"

And with that, he pulled and slotted a golden card. *FINAL ATTACK RIDE! KU-KU-KU-KUUGA!* Rang out, and Kuuga!Decade charged V3; he wasn't planning on killing him, though; Kuuga's Mighty Kick should stop him to let Decade talk to Kazami, though.

[identity profile] twin-fans.livejournal.com 2010-03-13 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
V3 slams into the wall and growls, apparently not too interested in whatever Decade has to say to him at this point. The Nightmare King has too much to cover right now, and this little fight is now an unneeded distraction.

It needs to be finished.

Picking himself up, he launches himself into the air, giving a wordless scream. His attack, however, should be instantly recognizable.

A Rider Kick.

The copy thinks it's good enough to stand up to a Rider, but that cracking noise, and the explosion that launches him across the room when their feet connect, proves him otherwise. Kamen Rider V3 struggles to stand, grabbing a counter to compensate for his leg, missing and trailing wires from the knee down. In the end, he only manages to fall face-forward.

An explosion follows.

[identity profile] capture-worlds.livejournal.com 2010-03-13 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
The explosion was intense; very much so. In fact, it threw Kuuga!Decade across the cafeteria they were in. Shrapnel from the counters, tables, and chairs flew around and were deflected harmlessly off his armor. After everything settled down, he removed his belt, and the copy of Kuuga disappeared, leaving only Tsukasa.

"Why, Kazami? I was working to save the worlds...everything was to save the worlds." And with that phrase, he left the war zone that was once a cafeteria, looking for a vantage point to figure out just where he was.
