It's a Date [Closed]
Tony peered out at the passing Bleed, watching the swirling colors slide past. He felt a bit nervous for some reason - the idea of this being an "official" date was odd, but he was the one who proposed it. Huh. He hoped things would work out well (and so far, between him and Kate, things had been fantastic). It was nice to have someone grounding, someone there who he could just talk or cuddle with. It gave him something real to hold onto.
He grinned to himself and nervously tried to tame his unruly hair again. Nope. Not happening. He sighed and turned towards the door, laughing at himself. Kate liked his hair unruly. It was part of who he was.

Kate then said, "So about that dinner idea. NY or LA?"

"Ok, I know some good places." She stepped back, but only so she could give a small tug to beckon him towards the Sensoriums.

"Nice to have more New Yorkers around," she couldn't help adding as they walked into the Sensoriums, their steps now along Fifth Avenue. Traffic of both pedestrian and auto whipping past them in amidst the towering skyscrapers and older buildings of the city.

"Not sure if she can turn human or not."

"Baxter Building and Stark Tower are down that way. My dad's office, Bishop Publishing, that's further downtown too. Central Park's that way, including where the Avengers mansion is. Or what's left of it." Since all of her memories would mainly know of it since the destruction and abandonment.

He smiled at her, giving her shoulder an affectionate squeeze, "...New York I was in didn't have those, but hey. Interesting stuff. What happened to the Avengers, anyway?"

Kate then leaned against him, as she added, "Uh, well, it's a long story. But in the short version? One of its members had a breakdown, there was also a battle at the time, and people died because of it. Including Cassie's father. The team disbanded after that for some time, then there was the Registration Act, the war, Cap's death, and everything's different now. This is what we inherited in a way."

He laughed softly, shaking his head, "Still... seems a bit pointless now. Doesn't really matter on th' ship, anyway."

Kate then nodded, "Or were, yeah. All that's gone now."
She sighed, "Sorry, some date huh?" Way to bring the mood down.

He frowned, scratching at his chin, "...just gotta keep on keepin' on and be glad you've got whatcha got."

"I used to stop by here on occasion."

She then drew closer to kiss his cheek, "Not this time."

"Really, you can find a lotta useful stuff in the trash. People throw perfectly good stuff out."

A host then came over, "Ms. Bishop, how nice to see you again. Your table's right this way."
Kate looked briefly uncomfortable, partly because she knew it was just her memories, also partly the recognition she often received because of her family's money. She never liked it.

He glanced at the host curiously, then back at Kate, "...nice."

They were seated at a table, and given menus.
Kate then explained, "I guess because of my memories. Um. The Bishop name's pretty well known. It's only because of my dad though, and all his money." It's a little like going out with the daughter of one of Rupert Murdoch's rivals.
