I can feel the madness slowly creeping in...

It is that time again, meatship.

Once again, the King of Nightmares has deigned to spread his touch to all of your dreams.

This time, however, he has decided to give them a much more personal touch, sending his very own children to visit each and every one of you, slowly sowing the seeds of madness within all of you.

Such a kind and loving king he is, isn't he?

[ooc: Alright folks, Nightmare King is ramping things up a bit. These nightmares are a good bit more dangerous now, and he's sending in his minions to make things a little more real. The nightmares will be of a much more serious nature this time, designed to start driving the crew slowly insane. Characters are more likely to run into nightmare minions in the guise of someone or something that will tug at the edges of their sanity. Also, this time, the characters can have joint dreams, as these nightmares are of a more mystical nature this time. Once again, tagging in isn't mandatory, but if you want to, go crazy (literally)!]

[Additional Note: Any injuries won't be carrying over to real life at this point in the plot but don't worry, we'll get there eventually!]

The blade easily sawed through the doors and seconds later a great mass of someones kicked it down. Leading the pack was an overweight man with a burlap sack tied over his head, waving a chainsaw high and cackling like a madman. Ah, Dr. Salvador, long time no see. Why, the last time Luis saw him, he was a modest physician with a small practice on the edge of town, and not a chainsaw-wielding lunatic with a freaky monstrosity living in his brain. Flanking him were dozens of yellow-eyed, pale-skinned former residents of Pueblo, farmers and laborers with pitchforks and pickaxes and hatchets and shovels, their clothes still dirty from the fields... along with the unhygienic stink and the odor of old blood and decay.

And that was to say nothing of the goblins. Literally, goblins, like something out of a movie. Filthy, ferocious little monsters clad in furs and armor, swords waving and bloodlust evident-- and two prime targets standing not meters away from them.

"God dammit!" Luis shouted, raising his gun and steadying his aim as best he could... while shaking. "God DAMMIT!

Kang decided that he really didn't like chainsaws. Fonrar squirmed, and he hissed again before very reluctantly setting her down behind him and focusing on the doors.

And then, the goblins and ganados rushed in, kicking the table to the side. Cursing, he adjusted his grip on his axe and prepared for battle, shoving down his fear for the baby. She wasn't there She wasn't in any danger.

That was when he awoke, sitting up abruptly and panting. It took a few moments before he realized where he was, and cursing soundly, he leaned back against the wall. He knew these dreams were only going to get worse over time.

Luis had just put his finger on the trigger and prepared to fire his first shot-- when his ally disappeared.

Now there were goblins and ganados rushing him and he was alone. The goblins were hissing and growling and the ganados were screaming and the chainsaw was roaring and Dr. Salvador stepped forward and cackled like a maniac.

"¡Quiero tu cabeza, Sera!"

Luis screamed in terror-

- and sat up so quickly he fell over backwards off of his stool and hit the floor of the contagion lab.
